outsidethebox Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 I really enjoy these kinds of threads. You can get some great ideas. My wife and I are staying home tonight. The kids are coming over and we have a bunch of snacks and finger foods lined up tonight. Will also watch Christmas story at least once tonight. I wish everyone at TBD a very merry Christmas.
BringBackFergy Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Same here West...snacks include Bflo chicken wing dip, shrimp, croissant mini hot dogs, spinach dip/rye breads, liver sausage dip, party pizzas, whiskey sours, wine, beer, sleep.
outsidethebox Posted December 24, 2013 Author Posted December 24, 2013 Sounds awesome! I always forget chicken wing dip. I love that stuff!
Optometric Insight Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 My family goes out to dinner and then my sister and I always get to open a present early. Too bad that it makes it even harder to go to sleep.
Nanker Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Our fully decorated tree fell over last night at around 3:00 AM. I hope this does not become a tradition.

BuffaloBud Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 BIL and his daughter make chicken parm. We make some cool drinks and open stockings. Usually a bunch of gag gifts. Plenty of laughs - pictures from the year are shared.
Nanker Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Shouldn't have decorated it with rocks, dumbass. You might be on to something there. I'll have to talk it over with the Mrs.

LewPort71 Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Last minute shopping. ugh Our neighborhood does the Iluminare thing. Candles in the white lunch bags to illuminate the way for the Christ child. We light these about 5:30 and the candles will burn all night. Church service at 7:00 with candle light singing of Silent Night outside on the steps. It was 15* last night at 8:00. Then we drive around looking at the lights on houses. Fewer peeps are lighting their houses. Anyone else notice this ? At the house we have some eggnog and open one present. Off to bed, forgetting to close the garage door last night. Temp went down to 8* and normally this would not be a problem. BUT we are having our bathroom remodeled and some of the pipe insulation was changed. At the break of dawn, Mrs. Lew discovered there was no water pressure. Aarrgghh.. Fortunately my SIL and I found the blockage and the hair dryer worked like a charm. Christmas feast included Ham and Turkey and pumpkin pie. Neighbors came over and we had a grand time.
outsidethebox Posted December 25, 2013 Author Posted December 25, 2013 Wow Lew, you had a very busy day! It sounds great though, except for the frozen pipe. Hope you had a great Christmas.

Well the fun thing is you could have skated in your garage! ;-)
