ExiledInIllinois
Bah. What do you mean by this? If it is what I think it is... This story @ first sounded nice, but thinking about it is kinda creepy. On those grounds, I have to say: "Bah" too! Please nobody take offense.. The story gets you to tear up. I lost my mother to ovarian cancer in 1999.
outsidethebox
This story is nice. She seemed like a wonderful caring wife who cared very much for her husband and her children. Not sure what the "bah" even means.
The Poojer
My guess is it's a 'whistling in the dark' technique... Rather than show the dark scares you you whistle to put your own mind at ease...his 'bah' probably was his defense mechanism to prevent a flood of tears...but I could be wrong...he's been known to be a bastard What do you mean by this? SmokinES3
Reopening old wounds... Seems a little passive aggressive. How did she know he would remarry? Her death is tragic and she probably meant well, still creepy is right the more you think about it. Then again, I've never been married or lost a loved one to cancer. What do I know... Probably not much. Edited December 24, 2013 by SmokinES3

Her death is tragic and she probably meant well, still creepy is right the more you think about it. Then again, I've never been married or lost a loved one to cancer. What do I know... Probably not much. Exactly how I began to see it. Seems more like a modern thing to do... Hold onto this until he gets over my death, finds somebody else... Then give a note from the grave. I think it would creep out the new partner more. Creepy, even after your death, giving one last post on the wall! :-O Passive aggressive control, a little? She's dead, it is the ultimate in passive aggressive control! Sorry, don't shoot me... But I would never do this to my wife and I hope she would never do this to me. Freaky, that after two years, he finally gets over and moves on and then bam, she has one last thank you to give... Like the husband was so helpless to begin with. Is this going to be a modern phenomenon? I hope not, because it will get creepier. Don't shoot the messanger, just IMO. Like I said, @ first glance I thought: oh how sweet, then after a few seconds, thought... Holy crap! She's watching me. I would feel guilty falling in love again! She's watching, I am such a douchebag! Like you said: "Opening old wounds." Edited December 24, 2013 by ExiledInIllinois
Kevin
It was a very touching story. Kinda creepy, but it was very dusty in my home today too and I couldn't really see what I was typing on my iPhone. Creepy in a paranormal, somebody watching me kinda way. Watching someone dying from cancer is a long slow, extremely painful process. Believe me I know. I am sure the man had a tremedous amount of guilt remarrying.I know I could never remarry, it would feel like I would be cheating n her. This was her way to say it is ok. That is a beautiful gift she gave him. I don't find anything creepy about it at all.

She gave him - and her children - the permission (for lack of a better word) they needed in order to move ahead with there lives without the guilt they'd likely feel for having a new wife and mother. It's funny that people can turn something beautiful into something creepy.

BLZFAN4LIFE
Does anyone find it odd that the letter was typewritten? Call me a skeptic, but I think a large family just scammed their way into an all expense paid trip to Disney. Full body massage included. Merry Christmas suckers!
