BuffaloBill Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 When was the last time a Bills player was ejected from a game? Tasker maybe? The point is that it was sloppy of Woods to get tossed. A bad move for sure and one he need not repeat.
Bangarang Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I'm sure Marrone had a nice talk with him about it
Armchair GM Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 He lost his cool...no telling what the Miami player did. I really don't think it's a "tell tale" sign of anything, just a one time thing here. Besides, I was watching and he got more than an earfull from Marone on the sidelines.
ShipUPride Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 From what I could see on the slow-mo replay, somehow Wood's arm got caught in the defender's jersey and he thought the defender wasn't letting go. He overreacted to misinformation. From the defender's side, I do not believe he did anything wrong. Our rookie, however, deserved to be ejected.
PromoTheRobot Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Pretty half-hearted swing if you ask me.
Jerry Jone's Toupee Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Pretty half-hearted swing if you ask me. I'm sure his paycheck will be a little light also.
Nanker Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000301924/article/robert-woods-ejected-for-throwing-punch video of the play at the above link. Woods could have been called for holding.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 i've seen MUCH worse and the player wasn't ejected. friggen refs
thebandit27 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 He let his emotions get the best of him; he can't let that happen again.
VADC Bills Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Loved his game up until that point. Surprised anyone got ejected.
bobobonators Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I didn't see that play live b/c I was flipping through so many different games but I've definitely seen worse not called. I suppose it comes down to being caught.
B-Man Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I certainly do not want any of our players getting ejected for foolish actions like this, but I love the fire and desire to win that Woods has shown, I wouldn't want to dim that at all. .
NoSaint Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 i've seen MUCH worse and the player wasn't ejected. friggen refs you get caught throwing a punch and very often that will be it for you. the ejection aside, i always have to question the intelligence of throwing a punch at a guy wearing a helmet when your hands are your livelihood. I didn't see that play live b/c I was flipping through so many different games but I've definitely seen worse not called. I suppose it comes down to being caught. and that was a pretty blatant "punch." there was no playing it off as just being handsy and pushing gone bad. he SWUNG and was right in front of the ref.
jr1 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I like his moxie. Just hide it from the refs better
bobobonators Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 ya NoSAINT; definitely have to question Woods' intelligence punching a guy in his helmet. lol. its like when pitchers get pissed and punch the clubhouse wall and break their hand. those two will probably see e/o again next season 2x's. can't wait.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I've heard of attempted eye-gouging at the bottom of those piles. It just so happens that Woods' action was less covert. Still, a pretty dumb mistake.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Woods clearly swung his arm like a club, the intent to apply percussive force with his arm. It wasn't a conventional punch where he was leading with his fist. So in spite of losing his cool, he still somehow had his wits about him.
BuffaloBill Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 i've seen MUCH worse and the player wasn't ejected. friggen refs He also carried on after the swing of his arm. No telling what he said to the ref. he clearly lost his cool. I certainly do not want any of our players getting ejected for foolish actions like this, but I love the fire and desire to win that Woods has shown, I wouldn't want to dim that at all. . Yeah but show the fire through play like Fredex. Freddie has more fire than anyone on that field and he is a class act.
87168 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 eh, he'll mature. this teams needs some aggression anyway. as a rookie he just needs to be coached on how to channel that. not worried.
