Dorkington Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Just saw the video on the NFL app. I don't think the Bills can suspend a player without pay for a game, but that's what I would do. Send a message, that sort of action is not welcome.

YoloinOhio Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Does not seem like him at all... wonder what provoked that
BillsBytheBay Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Just saw the video on the NFL app. I don't think the Bills can suspend a player without pay for a game, but that's what I would do. Send a message, that sort of action is not welcome. nope. Just cut him. That's what we want to do with all our talented players anyway.
oman128 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 you guys talk about such nonsense about things that don't even happen...
YoloinOhio Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 he will be fined by the league.. bills don't need to sit him. if it was college, maybe.
BillsFanForever19 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 That wasn't a smart move. But let's not get carried away people. Rookie mistake. He was ejected from a game he was playing very well in. He'll probably get fined by the league on top of it. Learn from it and move on. I wouldn't do more than have a sit down conversation with him, if I were Marrone.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 it was a mistake, not a "rookie mistake." No excuses on that one, including his lack of experience. You dont need to be a 5-yr vet to know you dont punch a guy. Again, lets just hope it's an aberration.
Dorkington Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Definitely a mistake, it happens. But you gotta send a message that it shouldn't happen anymore. Coach needs to hold his players accountable. He needs to be sitting next week, unfortunately.
4merper4mer Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 (edited) Woods got pushed slightly to the ground and then tried to take a swing at the guy while on the ground. It was bizarre. Almost totally unprovoked. He got pushed backwards for about 8 yards and then dumped to the ground. Not sure what you saw. For years we have needed a team with a little fight in it, we get one and then we complain. Edited December 22, 2013 by 4merper4mer
Fixxxer Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 I agree JR, that's a stupid mistake regardless of age and experience. And the rhetorical question of the day, what can you possibly gain by punching someone wearing a helmet?
Dorkington Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 He got pushed backwards for about 8 yards and then dumped to the ground. Not sure what you saw. For years we have needed a team with a little fight in it, we get one and then we complain. Fight is being chippy and pushing around. Woods took it a step too far and threw a punch.
Maury Ballstein Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Steve smith does it 2 times a quarter. He's a leader. Who cares. Tempers flare sometimes. On to the next one.
4merper4mer Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Fight is being chippy and pushing around. Woods took it a step too far and threw a punch. It was a Dolphin. There isn't a step too far.
Dorkington Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 It was a Dolphin. There isn't a step too far. Fair enough.
Rob's House Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 The other guy was probably talking ****. Until I hear otherwise I'm giving Woods the benefit of the doubt.
3rdand12 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 The other guy was probably talking ****. Until I hear otherwise I'm giving Woods the benefit of the doubt. yep. i could only listen to the radio. But given the outcome of the game !!! I am glad he punched that stupid heads helmet . dont take no sass Robert Woods ! wasnt he way outsized too
Rubes Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 It was a Dolphin. There isn't a step too far. Post of the day, easily.
YoloinOhio Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Woods has a winning mentality - the kid clearly has a very competitive edge. Not sure what was said or even the whole story (maybe he knows the guy) but I do give him the benefit of the doubt. I also would not be one to be be a SJ detractor, so no I am not a hyprocrite. Do I approve of the punch? No, but I am not going to say it makes me think less of him either.
