PromoTheRobot Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Right around 12 noon a weather front rolled off the lake like a freight train. Scared the crap out of me. 60+ winds for about a minute. Was hoping the Fins we're stretching on the field and saw that.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Yes...AND that play should never have been called, so bench Hackett too. True. But why not try to score, number 1. And why call stretch plays to the sideline, if all you want to do is run out the clock, number 2. Its bad situational awareness in the game. Plain and simple. Does not absolve CJ. Coaches shouldn't have to spoon feed players every !@#$ing thought.
Nitro Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 PTR...I agree. Hackett called that foolish play.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 As a professional there's a presumption of competence. I boss doesn't have to tell me to make sure I splice the red wire to the red wire.
BuffaloBill Posted December 22, 2013 Author Posted December 22, 2013 please move to 2H thread. Thank you Thread will be locked shortly
PromoTheRobot Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 PTR...I agree. Hackett called that foolish play. Here's the deal with CJ. He had no choice but go out or get killed there. That play put him in a spot where he had to go full speed to the sideline. Then he had guys right on him. Stop there and he gets killed. PTR
San Jose Bills Fan Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 (edited) Reminds me of the people absolving JP Losman for the strip/fumble against the Jets saying it was a bad play call. The ONLY bad thing that could happen on that play was a turnover. Run out of bounds for a loss, throw the ball out of bounds. Just don't toss an INT or get stripped of the ball. These players presumably have brains and the experience of having played football since little league. Here's the deal with CJ. He had no choice but go out or get killed there. That play put him in a spot where he had to go full speed to the sideline. Then he had guys right on him. Stop there and he gets killed. PTR Bullcrap. Ask yourself what Freddy would have done in the exact same situation. Edited December 22, 2013 by San Jose Bills Fan
