The musical content of the remake may not be "stellar," but for uniqueness, I'll go with Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield's 2013 remake of David Bowie's "Space Oddity" - - guitar, vocal and video actually recorded on the friggin' International Space Station:

thanks for that...big gaslight anthem fan

Jim James cover of Bob Marley's 'Turn Your Lights Down Low', I am a big fan of Jim James/Yim Yames/MMJ and think he did a great job on this...on the same album is Vampire Weekend covering 'Con te Partirò', they do a very nice version of that song.

Always thought Tina Turner nailed this version of the Beatles "Help!" Turns it into a totally different song and makes you appreciate the lyrics even more...

This is one of my favorites... great singer, making a well-known song her own...and giving it a whole different, but respectful tone...

Replied right after watching, may have already come up: this was the intended tone of the song. Lennon was talked into kicking the tempo up to make it more poppy. The evidence is in the SUPER SAD lyrics.
