34-78-83 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I can't think of one commonality between Fitz and Cutler other than both being Qb's and caucasian . Possibly one of the worst comparisons imaginable.
dave mcbride Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 We already had Jay Cutler, and it didn't work out. Fitzpatrick and Cutler have almost identical stats. http://www.reddit.co...fitzpatrick_in/ That's not true. Not once has Fitzpatrick matched Cutler's lifetime rating of 84.4. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CutlJa00.htm http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/F/FitzRy00.htm Also, Cutler's lifetime advance passer rating is 101 (100 is average) and Fitzpatrick's is 91. Bear in mind also that the Bears are 31-17 in games that Cutler has started. He's a lot better than people give him credit for because of personality issues earlier in his career (which seem to have faded, incidentally). His lifetime rating, by the way, is better than Kelly's. Having said all of this, there is no way that he ends up on the Bills.
C.Biscuit97 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I can't think of one commonality between Fitz and Cutler other than both being Qb's and caucasian . Possibly one of the worst comparisons imaginable. It's not nearly as off as you think. Cutler is very careless with the ball. He throws some of the worst INTs you will ever seen. Honestly, if Fitz had Cutler's skillset, there's not a doubt in my mind Fitz would be a franchise QB. Cutler lacks the "it" factor great QBs have. He's the exact opposite of a leader.
H2o Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I have seen some reports there is a lot of speculation Cutler is going to be let go at the end of the season. (Sorry no link, I read it on flip board) With all the EJ is horrible talk, anyone think the Bills should consider him? I am not saying the Bills should, more just curious if anyone thinks he is or could be decent. Personally, I've never been a Cutler fan but I do think he is semi competent. *mods, I searched and haven't seen this yet. Feel free to merge, delete or whatever else you desire Nah, I think he is too erratic. As a veteran that doesn't bode well. He is also injury prone over the last couple of seasons.
filthymcnasty08 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 What's the poor man's version of a Vet QB that can compete for the starting job and has a couple of prime years in the tank? That's the guy we'll sign! (Why do I have a nauseous feeling it's going to be Vick)
The Big Cat Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I'm a huge Fitz fan. But even I recognize that Fitz had an uncanny ability to blow the game. Comparing Fitz to Cutler without taking into account Cutler's wins vs. Fitz's lack of wins, is unfair. Cutler's wins? They're not even his on paper! Defense and special teams scores have been pulling wins out of the ether for The Bears...consistently...since 2006.

Defense and special teams scores have been pulling wins out of the ether for The Bears...consistently...since 2006. The Bears offensive numbers under Cutler have been pretty miserable in the Cutler years (except for this season - they're 7th now), but I wonder if that's simply the Bears being the Bears. In Cutler's last season in Denver, the Broncos finished second overall in offense.
bobobonators Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 LOL. Ok man, you're right. Cutler is worthless. Heck, EJ may be better already.

If smokin' Jay were here he would probably tell you... Cause thats just like, your opinion or whatever, bro.

BillnutinHouston Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 It has nothing to do with Cutler's talent. It has everything to do with him being a total punk. Agree.
filthymcnasty08 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 A little respect where due people PLEASE..... -He has a tremendous head of hair -He bangs her: https://www.google.com/search?q=kristin+cavallari&client=firefox-a&hs=WsU&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=fflb&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=XNypUpCBG_LMsATjnoCoCw&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1440&bih=791 Smokin Jay wins.

The day in 2009 it was announced they were signing him, you would have thought the clouds had parted and Christ himself had descended upon the Windy City. LOL. Ok man, you're right. Cutler is worthless. Heck, EJ may be better already. Well, he's not that good. And any Bills fan that thinks a.) he is or that b.) he should be brought in to help our team is wrong. Sorry.

Over 29 years of fanhood Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I can't think of one commonality between Fitz and Cutler other than both being Qb's and caucasian . Possibly one of the worst comparisons imaginable. You never know which QB is going to show, accuracy issues and has at least 1 WTF throw per game.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I was super high on Cutler early in his career. I think he even had a penchant for 4th qtr comebacks, and playing well in the clutch. But we have enough of a body of work to assess him at this point, and he will never be the type of guy that will win you a Super Bowl. I am of the view that if you cannot find a "great" (not simply good) QB, then you need to move on. Cutler will never be in the same league as a Brady or Brees or Manning, so why waste our time?
QCity Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 LMFAO. I love how Bills fans are picky too. No, not cutler...he's not good enough. It's like a bald, unemployed, 500+ lb man who lives in his parents basement shooting down the women from the JC Penny's catalog. Victoria's Secret or bust!

Rob's House Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 What's the story on Cutler's personality? I know he told Jash McDanield to !@#$ off (good for him) & lit into a receiver a time or two on the side line, but is there more to the story? Personally, I think if the Bills could snag him for $15m/yr they'd be foolish not to. Say what you will, the guy's been a consistent winner even when he had no protection or receivers. Maybe he won't be Manning, but at this point we just need to worry about getting a winning team. It's like a bald, unemployed, 500+ lb man who lives in his parents basement shooting down the women from the JC Penny's catalog. Victoria's Secret or bust! Nicely put.
