NoSaint
RG III has been better this season than EJ & he's the same age. Hasn't EJ also been sacked 7 times twice? What about preserving EJ. & playing Tuel? It would help our draft stock. i wouldnt look to the redskins as a model of what to do right now. bufffan031
We should trade the redskins our next two drafts for RGIII. I think they will do it
Jauronimo
Shanny going nuclear in Washington. Love it. Snyder is about as big a prick as they come so at this point you can pretty much count on mutually assured destruction. RGme le trois, bench mode. Cousin lover, start mode. Grossman, playing back up. This will be fun to watch. I can't think of another example of a lineup being set based on spite.

paupmvp1995
Redskins to start Kirk Cousins. shut down RG III for rest of year. http://espn.go.com/n...ert-griffin-iii the shanahan/snyder faceoff begins (shanahan hoping to get fired) hoping redskins win next 3 games....lol Shanahan is a garbage coach at this point. He should have been fired after the Chiefs game. You lose by 35 at home, you have lost your team..
dave mcbride
Who? Their three Super Bowls were an abject failure. Two. Barry Switzer got the third. Which was kind of the OP's point.
Bufcomments
Holy crap, I call B.S. on this one guys. Because of his health? Really ? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000296499/article/kirk-cousins-will-start-for-redskins-rgiii-to-be-inactive
The Big Cat
Two. Barry Switzer got the third. Which was kind of the OP's point. I stand corrected. It's a shame, though, that they only mustered two.
DDD
Let's see how Cousins performs behind that crap O-line. RG III took a beating.
Charles Romes
It will be interesting to see what the skins do if cousins lights up the QB friendly Georgia dome. Mid round picks typically have weak arms. If he does well I expect they'll start Grossman outdoors weeks 16 and 17 so as to preserve cousins' trade stock. bobobonators
Bills should pull a Ditka and trade away their entire 2014 draft to get RGIII...throw in EJ too.
tennesseeboy
You're kidding right? Exactly...take note they went to the playoffs last year...went to the playoffs three times since we last went to the playoffs and actually WON superbowls, with Buffalo cast offs in a number of those games. Offside Number 76
They could be showcasing Cousins for a trade, too.
The Big Cat
They could be showcasing Cousins for a trade, too. I'd take that bait.
mannc
They could be showcasing Cousins for a trade, too. More likely it is Shanahan's way of daring Snyder to fire him.
BuffaloBill
Their three Super Bowls were an abject failure. It's far more important that the HC and owner really love each other....
Dorkington
They could be showcasing Cousins for a trade, too. That, seeing what they have and resting RGIII to properly heal all combine to make sense.
Gordio
Also, the Redskins make the Bills look like a dynasty franchise. Why is that? The last time I checked the Redskins won their division last year. I can't remember the last time we won our division. I think it was 1995. Pretty pathetic. Peter
This whole situation is a cluster !@#$. The time to have rested him was in the playoffs last year when he was basically playing on one leg and the other one was vulnerable. The Redskins have so much invested in RGIII. They took a risk giving up so much for him. It looked like it was going to pay off, but one injury can change the whole equation. I would think long and hard before trading so much for one player. It can pay off, but can also set you back for a while.
