papazoid Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Redskins to start Kirk Cousins. shut down RG III for rest of year. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10118293/kirk-cousins-washington-redskins-start-place-robert-griffin-iii the shanahan/snyder faceoff begins (shanahan hoping to get fired) hoping redskins win next 3 games....lol
The Big Cat Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 When we traded up to get Graham, I thought for sure we'd take Wilson. Welp. When we didn't take Wilson, I thought for sure we'd get Cousins in the fourth, but we didn't..
jr1 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 will we still have to see his Subway commercials?
The Big Cat Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Also, the Redskins make the Bills look like a dynasty franchise.
FireChan Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 If Mike Trout gets cut, I won't know where to eat sandwiches anymore.
Beerball Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Shanahan raised the possibility Monday of benching Griffin for the last three games, citing 24 sacks in the past five games and the desire to keep him healthy for the offseason.Keep him healthy for the offseason? That may be the strangest statement ever attributed to a HC.
Dorkington Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I really wonder if they should have delayed his comeback a few weeks.
papazoid Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Keep him healthy for the offseason? That may be the strangest statement ever attributed to a HC. the bills will need to employ that strategy when they franchise tag Tyrd again.
BillsVet Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Also, the Redskins make the Bills look like a dynasty franchise. You're kidding right?
filthymcnasty08 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Egomaniac owners and egomaniac HC's do not a match make! See Jerruh and Jimmy J - 1990's
4BillsintheBurgh Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Keep him healthy for the offseason? That may be the strangest statement ever attributed to a HC. I think he's attributing RG III's issues this year to the lack of practice after his knee injury last year and since they're out of the playoffs he'd rather not get him hurt. Odd sentiment for sure. Certainly is a "fire me if you disagree" statement. When we traded up to get Graham, I thought for sure we'd take Wilson. Welp. When we didn't take Wilson, I thought for sure we'd get Cousins in the fourth, but we didn't.. I think missing out on Cousins was the regret of that draft for OBD, not missing Wilson. There's no way they expected Was to take him.

Big Turk Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 If Mike Trout gets cut, I won't know where to eat sandwiches anymore. You could always go to Red Lobster, lmao ;-)
The Big Cat Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Wilson :-( Think of a 2013 Bills team that drafted him, fired Wanny, kept Fitz as a backup, kept Chan and still hired the out-of-contract Pettine. Several factors, none of them fantastical.

TheFunPolice Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I'll always cheer for Wilson because he seems like a great guy and he is a fun player to watch... the whole run/option thing is over in the NFL, but he can still make a lot of plays As far as Shanahan, I will just smile. The guy could have come here and been treated like a GOD. Instead, he'll go out in an ugly and protracted way in Washington, but at least it doesn't get cold in DC.
NFL95MelGrayDomination Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 (edited) RG III has been better this season than EJ & he's the same age. Hasn't EJ also been sacked 7 times twice? What about preserving EJ. & playing Tuel? It would help our draft stock. Edited December 11, 2013 by NFL95MelGrayDomination
H2o Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 This is what Shanahan wanted all along, but couldn't do it from week 1 because Griffin was "healthy enough" and Snyder wanted Griffin to play.
