filthymcnasty08 Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Bring in a competent professional QB with a solid history of success? Of course nobody wants it here….we would rather start countless threads over how we would be 9-X with a competent professional QB with a history of success. Sometimes I think we deserve every bit of the 14 years.
bobobonators Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 He's fallen out of favor in Houston, with Kubiak partially getting fired because he was planning on sitting Keenum and starting Schaub, plus Houston is likely drafting a QB Sure just like Palmer has caused Arizona to draft 6th this year... However with Manuel we have a very real chance of drafting 6th... Except that arizona has a better all-around defense and a guy named Fitzgerald on offense. We have little man Graham and anti-clutch stevie. And even worse, an OC who doesnt know how to utilize our only offense weapon (spiller). Schaub in b-lo would be an unmitigated disaster. He couldnt come through in houston with a better TE, all world WR, and all pro RB...in a dome. What would u expect here? Playoffs? I dont see it.
Leelee Phoenix Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Schaub's not getting traded. Houston may release him. And he's going somewhere where he'll start.
SBUffalo Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Schaub's not getting traded. Houston may release him. And he's going somewhere where he'll start. Highly doubtful. Only chance at starting anywhere he has is if a team drafted a QB and doesn't want to start them right away.

It would be a typical Bills move for the past 13 years--picking up a damaged throw away from a team in disarray on the (likely) downside of his career. What's he going to do with this offense that he couldn't do with the Texans offense?
jjmac Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Schaub has been bad in Houston this year, and could be had for not much, maybe a 4th or 5th round pick. I consider this year an abberation as he had posted 5 straight 90+ QB Rating seasons prior to this year and led the league in pass yards one of those with almost 4800 yards. He would be several steps up from EJ Manuel at this point and would instantly do AT LEAST as much as Carson Palmer did for the Cardinals this year, which is make them a potential playoff team, especially with the D we have now... Screw the idea of "we have to have our guy at QB" all new GMs have and get a guy who can help us win NOW!! This team is good enough to win NOW without a QB hindering our games... No, it is not. Have you see the o-line lately?
Rico Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Let's do this: 1. Trade a 2015 #1 to the Texans for Schaub. 2 Throw a parade for him when he comes to town. 3. Cut TJ Graham and give Schaub #11. That'll give us at least 2-3 years of laughing at the Schaub apologists on here... or at least until new ownership takes over. It'd be like 2003 all over again, good times for this board. .
reddogblitz Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I wonder if they'd take SJ heads up for Schaub? I'd do that so fast.
Nitro Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 No more damaged goods QB. Living here in Indy I get to see him play and no thank you. Bills need to stick to EJ or draft another one next year just avoid the QB scrap heap.
Buftex Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Not saying this will happen, but just suppose that Manuel plays three strong games the rest of the way..say, something comperable to what he did against the Jets a few weeks ago...this conversation will have never happened. The damn Buffalo Bills have turned us into a bi-polar "Bills-nation"
RuntheDamnBall Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I think he could be gotten with a pick (in the) six(th).
Boludo Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 MATT SCHAUB?!?!?! what in the hell are we coming to when they want to bring in a guy who this very same season had his JERSEY BURNED by his own fans
Sisyphean Bills Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 This is high comedy. Gary Kubiak puts Schaub into a game and his owner fires him the next day. So, trading for Schaub is "a solution." (This ad paid for by the "Fire Marrone" party.)
