26CornerBlitz
IMO, the Patriots offense will go back to struggling w/o Gronk. @AdamSchefter MRI on Rob Gronkowski confirmed torn ACL, torn MCL. Season done.

NFL95MelGrayDomination
Maybe we could convince the Patriots that he's bad luck b/c he's from Buffalo. Think they'd trade him to us?

NFL95MelGrayDomination
Gronk is a great player, but damn the guy is an injury nightmare! I'd knee brace him up & have him put on the riot forearm body armor & go to battle. Gronk is going to look an awful lot like Darth Vader in a few years. The price you pay selling your soul to the hoodie. Think they'd take a 3rd rounder? Edited December 9, 2013 by NFL95MelGrayDomination

FLFan
I saw that play. I am not sure if it was the same CB, but it was the same kind of hit that put EJ out. He dove right at his knee. I am not feeling sorry for the Pats, but while the NFL is supposedly worrying over player safety, they should address these kinds of cheap shots. It was TJ Ward who hit Gronk. Different guy from the EJ hit. It was definitely not a cheap shot on Gronk. The NFL has given DBs little choice but going low on receivers with they way they have penalized high hits in these split-second, bang-bang plays. I am not feeling sorry for the Pats, but while the NFL is supposedly worrying over player safety, they should address these kinds of cheap shots. I don't know if I would call it a cheap shot but as soon as I saw I thought it wasn't going to be good. I made mention in the offseason that the draft concerns were starting to show up. I won't cry for the Pats* but this is a huge blow. While he played they were the highest scoring team in the NFL. Before he came back they lost to the Jets and almost the Bills! It was TJ Ward who hit Gronk. Different guy from the EJ hit. It was definitely not a cheap shot on Gronk. The NFL has given DBs little choice but going low on receivers with they way they have penalized high hits in these split-second, bang-bang plays. Especially a DB on such a big guy. Meatloaf Sandwich
Pats full of injuries yet can keep winning games. Bills fully healthy and get blown out by a sub .500 team.
The Big Cat
Were you being sarcastic? Seriously. A DB has no prayer taking down Gronk from above the waist, and it's illegal to hit him above the shoulder pads. That gives them about a 14"" window, at the center of which are his knees. BillsFan-4-Ever
not that I wish any player ill. I'm not bothered by Mr Injury prone missing the season. 3 weeks in a row the Putz win at the last second after being down double digits ... Are we sure the Ref's aren't helping them? Over 29 years of fanhood
In general it appears these elite tightend types have difficulty staying healthy. Wonder what the deal is...

Miyagi-Do Karate
Boo Hoo . . . You basically said exactly what I was going to say. Poor Patriots suffer one injury. Try suffering about 20 critical injuries every year for 15 years.

Golden Wheels
Gronkowski will have had SIX surgeries since he signed his $53 million contract extension with New England in June 2012. He is a singluar talent, but because of the way he plays the game, Gronkowski is going to be hurt. Alot. Better off drafting a TE than trading for him. BRH
That's okay, they'll just replace him with one of the refs. They won't miss a beat.
Mike in Syracuse
As long as Tom Brady is on the field and standing upright the Patriots will always be a challenge. Losing Gronk sucks for them but they've won without him.
