The NLRB dictated that moving production to a right-to-work state was union busting, hence illegal, and Boeing was forced to keep manufacturing in Seattle and not move to South Carolina. No reason not to expect the same will happen again. I agree ... However, Boeing was swimming against the very strong tide created of its own doing and a very labor friendly NLRB. Everyone would be well served to have a fair and focused decision on the issues. Boeing should not be beholden to only keeping its facilities in the state of Washington. At the same time Boeing needs to play within the rules and political biases that influence the labor status of their workforce. It will be interesting to see where this goes.
