Coach55 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 After another week where the Bills found a way to lose despite a valiant effort, it came to me to think - what is the single play from the history of this franchise defines this team. Most people I think would think that the Scott Norwood missed FG may be the defining play in franchise history. However, my thoughts is the below. Helluva an effort, but as it was the end of the half...comes up 3 yards short - all he had to do is run right to the open space... Any other suggestions?

May Day 10 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 It is tough. Its like 3 different teams. You have the "class" of the AFL in the last years before the merger, and you have the Jim Kelly/Polian years Other than that, this Franchise has won 1 playoff game in its history. so Thigpen getting hit in head is my choice
WotAGuy Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I nominate whatever play preceded Lou Saban's famous rant "GOD ALMIGHTY!! WHY DO WE DO THAT?!?!"
Gugny Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 This team just flat out stinks. Excellent input!!!!
H2o Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 The ever mobile Chad Pennington on 4th down, ahhhh yes.
nucci Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 This franchise is known for losing 4 SBs in a row. All starts with wide right.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Jake Arians missing the extra point CBF
QB Bills Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Glass half full: Beebe running back and stripping the ball from Leon Lett. Glass half empty: Any other play from that game.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 That McGee return is so painful to watch. He could have just pitched it back to any of the 5 guys standing right there too. I watch the video now, and am like, "Just pitch it back, pitch it back."

Max997 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 That's a good one but the throwback has to be it After another week where the Bills found a way to lose despite a valiant effort, it came to me to think - what is the single play from the history of this franchise defines this team. How quickly I forgot how terrible those uniforms were
metzelaars_lives Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 That's a good one but the throwback has to be it How quickly I forgot how terrible those uniforms were How quickly I forgot what an insane kick return that was. Holy s***.

BillsFanM.D. Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Giants converted FOUR 3rd downs on this drive. This being the most gut wrenching one.
VirginiaMike Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I will go for the play that should not have counted -- the illegal forward pass (not lateral) that was at the end the Tennessee Titan playoff game. It signaled the end of Wade Phillips and sent the Bills in a further spiral down to depths.
