bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 (edited) Right before the PI call in the end zone Falcons were called for 15 yard penalty putting them from fourth and goal from 4 to third and goal from 19. We now gave them two more chances to get Into the endzone versus hoping for a defensive stand at the four? I just wonder why we chose to give them two more downs versus forcing a fourth down play? plus if they did score it would have saved a possible 25 or more seconds on the clock. Wonder what the analytics of the situation dictates? Edited December 3, 2013 by bills_fan_in_raleigh
ALLEN1QB Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I remember the play and thought the same thing at the time. Why give them two shots at it.
K D Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 It was going to be 4th down at the 1 from what I recall.
mannc Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 It was going to be 4th down at the 1 from what I recall. Correct. Marrone made the right decision. Chance of stopping S Jackson from there was not good.
