KD in CA
We always have to have some of the Nouveau...goes pretty well with Turkey actually http://en.wikipedia....ujolais_nouveau That does go very well with the T-day meal, I've served it in the past. Yesterday we had a Syrah that I'd had for a while and was ready for drinking.

JÂy RÛßeÒ
No word from Jay today.. I wonder if mother in law put a beating on him for buying her a CHEAP wine. LOL I ended up with a de Lyeth Merlot (Sonoma), and a Hermann Wiemer semi-dry Riesling (Finger Lakes) both of which were quite good. She enjoyed the Merlot enough to take the bottle home with her. The Poojer
i am at best a newbie to wine so i need to reply on opinions of others to pick wines, that said, when i was in richmond there was a wine store in midlothian that i used to go into and i would always ask for help, i'd usually say i like semi-dry wines, they would take me to a fantastic selection of wines and to their credit, they always started with the 'affordable' wines and were very honest in their sales pitch saying that a $12 bottle of spanish tempranillo was every bit as good as a $100+ bottle...i really appreciated that...i miss that place especially now that i am stuck in this backwards liquor commonwealth
