RuntheDamnBall Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Lenny P says Rod Gardner (WR / Redskins) might be available for a fourth-rounder. Might not be a bad investment. Also, Vikes are considering moving to a 3-4 and need a big NT. Increases my worries that we'll lose Pat Williams (Cottrell connection, a team needs to fill a void). Who knows.

Who knows. 210181[/snapback] why would the redskins want to offload gardner??? 51 cetches, 650 yards, 5 TD and only 4 years in the NFL. had one 1000 yard season. but hes not the #1 guy anymore so his numbers have dropped. http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/235213 a 4th rounder is LOW in my opinion. sounds like they just want to get rid of him. maybe he is getting paid to much??
BuckeyeBill Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 I think that we can kiss Fat Pat goodbye. I will miss him, just like I miss Antoine Winfield. But you can't do anything about that. Would be kind of interesting to see Pat and Antoine join up again in Minnesota. Hmm... Rod Gardner... now why would we want him again?

34-78-83 Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Phat Pat is willing to give Buffalo the "discount" when it comes to a new contract. He stated this himself. I don't see him going anywhere... (I hope )

scribo Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Gardner is the only Skins' receiver who isn't constantly dropping the ball. He is good to go. He'd make an excellent #3 receiver, but he probably wants to be a #2. Big Pat needs to stay a Bill.
Ramius Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 theres been rumors that the buccs are after rod gardner...
Stussy109 Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 4th rounder is a good deal for Gardner, sounds a little too good to be true. I'd take him over reed any day. Josh Reed has simply bad fundamentals, every ball that is thrown to him hits him in the chest, unlike Lee Evans, where every ball is caught with his hands. This is why I can't recall Evans dropping more than a few balls all year, and Reed, has them bouncing off the numbers.

Mark VI Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 No position has more UFA's each year than WR. There is always several good Vet WR's available. Why trade for one ?
