ICanSleepWhenI'mDead Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 More marital oddness in India: http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2011-12-12/coimbatore/30508616_1_sivakumar-family-court-coimbatore Last year, Sivakumar filed for divorce in the family court in Coimbatore, but his wife refused to grant it to him. Consequently, he filed another petition in February this year, producing a fake wife in court to acquire his divorce. Two advocates, Anand Raj and Raghupathi had helped Sivakumar in this matter. Swarnalatha, unaware of her husband's doings, still believed she was married to him. There's a sitcom in there somewhere.
BringBackFergy Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 "Ponradha, 23, daughter of Palpandi of Lakshmimanagaram near Arumuganeri in Kanyakumari district was betrothed to be married to Sithiraivelu, 35, son of Jayaraman of Lakshmipuram in Kayalpattinam of the same district. The wedding was to be held on Wednesday and arrangements were on in full swing in the bride's hometown." I would have jumped ship too...imagine having to put all this information on your driver's license or have to fill out your address/town, etc. on an application. The guy probably made his way straight to Smithtown or some place easy to spell.
Cynical Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Say what? "The news spread around the town of Lakshmimanagaram like a wildfire when Sivakumar, a relative of the bride who had come to take part in the wedding, agreed to marry Ponradha after his relatives persuaded him to do so." So the replacement bridegroom was pressured persuaded by his relatives to marry another relative. Alrighty then. What's the Indian equivalent of a banjo?
Just Jack Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 What's the Indian equivalent of a banjo? Probably the Sitar... http://welcome-2-ind...s-in-india.html
