Nick was, quite possibly, the worst kicker we ever had as a team. Nice to know you recognized him. I can't forget him.

George Jakowenko. He was 82% on PAT's... So much for Belgian born kickers! He did play @ Syracuse.

I suddenly and inexplicably have the urge to lap up some milk...

Not sure how much milk you'll get out of those, but you'll definitely get your recommended daily intake of silicone.

Also, the Bills are 1st in Tackles on Defense

Is that really a very impressive stat? I love our defense and see them being a top 5 defense next year, but that particular stat seems more troubling than positive...tells me they're on the field for too many plays.

They gave up 9 to KC but it counted as 23. On MNF last night they said that the Panthers have given up 8 first quarter points this entire year. Can you give up 8 points without a safety being in the mix? How the heck does the defense give up a safety?

If that's the case, that only proves statistics...are worthless. To say the Defense gave up 23 points, 14 of which they WEREN'T EVEN ON THE FIELD FOR, is ludicrous....it's beyond reason to even begin to attempt to dismantle the reasons for why attributing 14 points against the Defense in this situation doesn't compute.

Another year of being a better team than our record. We're clearly not a 4-7 talent wise... Blargh.

Not sure about the past few years. i think the team was what it was. This year is different.

First the rookie QB.

Second the entire new coaching staff. Including first time HC to the NFL and his OC is a first time OC in the NFL.

Also there are so many guys in their rookie or 2nd year that are contributing. Some guys, Robey, are UDFA that are really stepping up.

This D is looking better and better. Something we expected as the year went on and guys got healthy and learned the new system.

Sacks and Int's are directly related and are the core of what Pettine likes to do. So those stats show the Bills are executing on Pettine's style.

Sacks:

Bills 37 (11 games)

KC 36 (10 games)

Ravens 34 (10 games)

Bengals 34 (11 games)

Seahawks 33 (11 games)

Pats, NO, Rams 32 (10 games)

So, if KC gets 2 sacks (possible) or Ravens get 4 sacks (less likely) we would fall to #2

Bengals and Seahawks have not had their byes yet either and I don't see the Pats, NO, or Rams getting 6 sacks in a game.

So after our Bye, we'll still most likely be #1 or #2.

INTS

Bills 16 (11 games)

Seahawks 16 (11 gms)

Cards 14 (10 gms)

Panthers 14 (10 gms)

Bears 14 (10 gms)

Broncos 13 (10 gms)

Dolphins 13 (10 gms)

Eagles 13 (11 gms)

So, we only fall off the perch if the Cards, Panthers, or Bears have 3 INTs this Sunday

or Broncos or Dolphins get 4 INTs this Sunday.

To build on your work:

KC 3.60 sacks per game

Ravens 3.40 sacks per game

Bills 3.36 sacks per game

Bengals 3.09 sacks per game

Seahawks 3.00 sacks per game

Pats, NO, Rams 3.2 sacks per game

Bills 1.45 ints per game

Seahawks 1.45 ints per game

Cardinals 1.40 ints per game

Panthers 1.40 ints per game

Bears 1.40 ints per game

Broncos 1.30 ints per game

Eagles 1.30 ints per game

So based on mean average, the Bills are 3rd in sacks and 1st in interceptions.

Waiting for Max to make another annoyingly negative statement.

Bills O ppg 21.5

def ppg 24.8

Atlanta O ppg 21.4

D ppg 29.2

Thanks, I had meant to look this up when I got home. So, if anything, we need our D to play a good game and the rest should fall in to place?

if you have a smart phone download the Bills app. that's where I got the #'s

and yes, the D plays lights out again and not only does EJ repeat those #'s but the running game gets going all should fall in place

I APOLOGIZE that none of you realized she was dressed as Puss in Boots from Shrek

When does that Puss come out with her own movie??

Posted (edited)

You wanna be in the Puss or the Movie?

Absolutely

Also, to keep with the topic of the thread, any guess to the stats of Puss?, and are we sure they are silicone, that cover 2 seems to be pushing up the corners and bringing everything into the middle of the D??

Thanks dubs.

Here's another very relevant stat plucked from the Buffalo News today:

"Buffalo ranks fifth in sacks per pass attempt faced, which is a more accurate way to rank pass rush than the actual sack totals."
