Mediaman Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/01/18/balcony.death.ap/index.html NORTH FORT MYERS, Florida (AP) -- A woman fell to her death while trying to do a handstand on the railing of a second-floor hotel balcony, sheriff's officials said. Molly Jerman, 23, of Cape Coral died Sunday. While attempting a handstand, she toppled over and dropped to the hotel patio, according to the Lee County sheriff's department. Just before she fell, she had called out to a friend, "Watch to see what I can still do," a police report said. Foul play is not believed to be involved, officials said.

UConn James Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 I know a guy who took a digger at five stories while at a party in one of the dorms. Faulty railing, I gather. Coma for 10 weeks. He was a real * in high school. Football/baseball/academic slacker. He was going to play for the U as a walkon. He now has the mental capacity of a 6-year-old. I've seen him at the library and at a BBall court in town, and it's weird trying to reconcile the new person in the same body.
1billsfan Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 That's nothin. I read a story about a man who commited suicide by decapitation. Apparently he tied one end of a rope to a lampost and the other around his neck. He then proceeds to get in his car and floor it. Ouch.
Zamboni Man Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 There's always something going on down in Florida.... Woman Falls To Death....
DC Tom Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 There's always something going on down in Florida.... Woman Falls To Death.... 210062 Her parents will sue the hotel, of course, for failing to provide "Caution: don't act like a dumbass on the railings" warning signs.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 ...or for the patio not being soft enough to prevent her from dying from her injuries.
aussiew Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 They may also sue the liquor store where she shopped before going to the motel. And also sue the friend who didn't run over to catch her before she fell.
Gavin in Va Beach Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 They may also sue the liquor store where she shopped before going to the motel. And also sue the friend who didn't run over to catch her before she fell. 210229 Will they sue themselves for raising such a dumbass?
Mediaman Posted January 18, 2005 Author Posted January 18, 2005 This it turning out to be some eulogy for her

SACTOBILLSFAN Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 I've done stupid sh** but alas none of it has caused me to perish.
Live&DieBillsFootball Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Just before she fell, she had called out to a friend, "Watch to see what I can still do," 209921 Actually she said, "Hold my beer and check this out."
stevestojan Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Actually she said, "Hold my beer and check this out." 210312 Bingo - I'm just glad that when I went to Myrtle Beach when I was a junior and senior in high school, no one said to me at ANY point "Steve, I bet you can't do a hand stand", as we of course stayed at cheap motels with balconies... Then again, she was 23...
MadBuffaloDisease Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 If I saw that girl fall to her death, I'd sue her parents for raising a dumbass who caused me great emotional distress.
BB27 Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 This will seem cruel, but, Was she good looking? I need to know so that I can properly put a number on damages for my lawsuit. Removing a hot woman from society must be punished.
