Not so much except for a lucky few.

"While a decade ago the average female performer would make about $100,000 a year," Spiegler told THR "she now might make as little as $50,000 — all while juggling responsibilities such as social-media outreach and personal appearances."

I've always been a good Catholic boy, but it's funny cause back in the 90s I probably could have named at least four or five porn stars. Now I'd be hard-pressed to name a single one. In fact, the only one I can think of is Sacha Gray, cause she transitioned to legit film and starred in the critically acclaimed Steven Soderberg film, "The Girlfriend Experience".

There is a very interesting documentary on Netflix called "After Porn Ends", which is about some of the stars of the 70s, 80s, and beyond and what their lives are like today. It is pretty interesting and even a little depressing.

Yeah you would have to guess that it is not a long-term career. Not to mention strong stigma ....

I mean are you going to be in a job interview for something more mainstream and say .... Well during my porn years....

No doubt. I can't see how the females could ever escape from that, even if they wanted to.

I'm not surprised they make less today

Today anyone with a cell phone or camera and internet access can be an international "porn star" and make money

Anything that is produced gets put online for free anyway. Not that I would know first hand.
