Russ 'Em Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Man what a difference weeks make in the NFL. The first game EJ couldn't get into his drop before there were Jets in his face. This week it seemed as if there were no pass rush at all. Granted EJ did throw the ball when he got to the top of his drop. He didn't stand around patting the ball, but he didn't seemed rushed on most of his throw plays. Did Hackett do something that created so much confusion on defense or were the jets just not able to beat our o-line?
Stealth Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I believe Colin Brown was still playing for the Bills during the 1st bills/jets game. Not that Legursky is much better, but better than Brown all the same. I also think it has a lot to do with Hackett slowing down the offense a bit. Let's not overlook that during the first few weeks, although we still run a fast paced offense, it's not ran as quick play to play as we did in the beginning of the season. EJ has more time to discet the defensive formations. This time around EJ was less hesistant on pulling the trigger on taking shots down the field, and our speedster wide receivers came through for us. There was plenty of time EJ was under pressure, but he gave his receivers chances to make plays, and they did just that. Hopefully this kind of progression only continues as we come down the home stretch of the season
