Thirdborn Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 As far as I am concerned this season is the harbringer of our return. Anybody know when this happened last? Things are good. An auspicious first year for this young team. very happy.
K D Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I think we can sweep Miami (no way they beat us in the snow with no running game) and split with the Pats (Brady sits if they have home field locked up). I don't think we could have asked for anything better out of a first year coaching staff with a rookie qb. We were 2 big plays away from sweeping the division but 4-2 ain't bad!
Chilly Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Getting to .500 or better in the division would be a huge win for this team. The best teams start by winning divisional games, most teams are built for that. The Bills haven't been .500 or better in the division since 2007.

KikO M G Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 (edited) It all means nothing if they don't beat Miami at home. They split with Miami and NYJ last year so they have to win at least 3 divisional games for it to be progress. Edited November 18, 2013 by KikO M G

When is the last time Brady sat out when the Pats had the playoffs locked up. Never
BuffOrange Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 When is the last time Brady sat out when the Pats had the playoffs locked up. Never Not true. He had Flutie drop kicking extra points vs Miami. Nick Saban is his buddy though.
dubs Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I am not saying it's going to happen, but the Bills should definitely be 8-7 going into the last game of the year. I know that sounds nuts and isn't likely to happen, but when you look at the schedule, each of the next 4 games are games the Bills SHOULD win. If it does, what a good first year for Marrone and company regardless of whether or not we make the playoffs. Final game @ NE (potentially with the playoffs on the line), a winning record on the line, a winning record in the division on the line. I know, I know, WAY ahead of myself here. But after such a long time since we were able to be excited about an end of season game, the prospect is just impossible not to think about.
IDBillzFan Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 They split with Miami and NYJ last year.... Yes, but not with a rookie quarterback and coaching staff.

Brady won't be sitting if they've locked up hf. We've seen this before.
eball Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Don't count on that final game at NE* not meaning anything. I believe the Pats* are going to lose their next two (tonight @ Carolina, next week vs. Denver) and then things get interesting.
Tu-Toned Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I was going to get up today and post the same thing. Oh we'll, at least I got up today. This is progress to me, finally something to hang our hat on.
Armchair GM Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 (edited) correct me if I'm wrong, but if we do win out, Carolina beats the *Pats tonight and we get a little help from Miami (Beat the Jets 1 of 2 and beat NE) we win the division...right? Actually, even if NE does sweep the Phins, we have a game in hand with the Carolina win...right? Edited November 18, 2013 by Armchair GM

Yeah, Atlanta, Tampa Bay and Jacksonville although Tampa Bay has been playing pretty well since Glennon took over...were up 21-0 in Seattle before losing in OT 24-21 and then beat Miami and steamrolled the Falcons...they have a lot more talent than their record suggests

oman128 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Well the bills have the bye week and then they go off to Toronto for the we're going to lay an egg game against a way under preforming Falcons team. Our record in Toronto is horrible since this scheduling began.
