For a lot of the players of his era I would be suspicious of this but Christensen was apparently a devout Mormon so I cant see him cheating with the juice. He was absolutely clutch in the early 80s for Jim Plunkett! not the best commentator as others have stated. Very sad to see him die so young. Then there is what Al Davis asked him back when he got cut from the Raiders (1989): "We talked about that, we talked about Ken Stabler, we talked about steroids," Christensen said. "Al asked me, 'I'm so ignorant about this, is that (steroids) the reason you couldn't get your weight back?' "I said, 'I have a major organ (his gallbladder) somewhere in the toilet.' We had a few laughs. Hmm... I know they will play the devout Mormon thing and not being a drinker... But being a devout Mormon doesn't stop the juicing.
