Will next year be 15 years of missing the playoffs? Glad I didn't line up for One Bills Drive kool aid this offseason. Should be interesting to listen to the homers say how much harder the Bills have been playing under Marrone... this is a young team...give the new coaches a chance...you just gotta Billieve!! Heard it and seen it over and over...new faces, just same ol' schitty Bills year after year.

Didn't we draft a QB in the first round this year?

I think we drafted a bad decision making, ball throwing running back. Or something like that. Maybe a running back in a qb disguise. How much fun could we have with this?

The answer is painfully obvious. The issue is that we may very well be in a position of having to draft another QB in the next draft. The complexion and results of the past 13 years will not change until the Bils address this position.

If we don't draft a QB in the first round or trade for Big Ben I guarantee that next year is year 15. The FO sucks.

Yup. It will also mark the 18th straight year without a franchise QB.

Hey what a coincidence!

exactly. We have no idea what EJ is, nor will we by next draft. So, I would draft another QB in the first round, and keep doing so. What is maddening is that this FO passed over Russel Wilson, and then took EJ in the 1st round this year. It's like they can do a decent job of drafting/finding any other position besides QB.

Agreed. Keep drafting QBs until you get a true starter. If more than one develops, you have someone to trade. But, as long as we have QB play like we've had this season, especially today, we're just wasting seasons.

Don't hold your breath. No way in hades will Whaley draft a QB in the first round. He will not throw his mentor Buddy Nix who drafted EJM under the bus. Plus the Bills pay a rookie wage to Manuel for two more years and this makes the bean counters in the Motor City very happy. After the season I expect everyone from Russ Brandon on down to say that they are satisfied with Manuels play and that he is their QB going forward. And that will be that as far as quarterback for the Bills is concerned for the next two years. We haven't even seen the tip of the iceberg from the excuse machine yet. The Bills have perfected this for over 50 years.

We need to see how EJ plays for the rest of the season, but if his play is similar to his play today, the Bills would be foolish to not take a QB in the first round in April. Do I think the Bills would do this? No, not under any circumstances, which is unfortunate since we will likely draft early in the first round and the class of QBs coming out this year is potentially very strong (unlike last year).

This year's team is not particularly strong, but if they had good to excellent QB play, the team would be at least at .500.

So the front office drafted the wrong guy according to you but you trust them enough to draft another one a year later?

You guys are nuts if you think we are drafting a QB next year. The fact of the matter is we have at least one more year of Manuel so we can see what he looks like with a whole training camp worth of reps as the day 1 starter. If this time next year he has a game like today then maybe we get a QB in the 2015 draft. Jameis Winston please!

I still think EJ can be the franchise QB. There are key missing pieces , need healthy players and needed experience. If we make good draft choices in 2014 next season should be our turn around.

Sorry dude. But this is the thinking that has us where we are today. Lipstick on a pig.

There is only one key missing piece.

When the Colts went 1-15 and drafted Luck, and the players and coaches said "we are not rebuilding" everybody laughed. But they were right. Nowadays, rebuilding means "trying to find a QB." After you actually get one, you dont need to rebuild anything.
