Like A Mofo Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 This really makes those fans and media who label the Bills are the biggest "chokers" foolish dosent it??? Bills were decisive underdogs in 3 of the 4 SB's Pitt was a HUGE fav or SD and the first NE game, slight underdogs to Denver and this years NE is a tossup Philly was a big underdog at STL, was a slight fav over TB, bigger favorite over Carolina, and are probably will be decent favorite over Atlanta. I have to choose PITT over all these myself. Thoughts?
UConn James Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 I'm sorry, ladies and gents, but I have to say it was our beloved Bills. Since when is being "decisive underdogs" an acceptable excuse for losing the game of games? Does Vegas decide the results? And especially with our O and D at the time that should have showed up much better than they did. It's a cop-out. I'm also a BoSox fan (more in the past three years when finally getting back into it from the strike years), and before this year, I'd have to admit it about them too. It hurts, yeah, but it's true.
Just Jack Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Does the Miami/NE game from Monday Night football this season qualify as a choke?
JohninMinn. Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 The bigger the stage the bigger the choke. Unfortunately "wide right" started us on the road to biggest chokers of all time. It's not necessarily true but it is ingrained in the public perception for the forceeable future.
ch19079 Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 loosing the SB and loosing the NFC title game are 2 very diffrent things. the bills were good enouph to get to the SB. the eagles were not.
Rico Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Better to get to the Super Bowl than not... but the Bills are still the biggest choke on your list.
