Miyagi-Do Karate
Still in this, as sad as the game has been. Hopefully we can be like the chiefs last week and grab a few lucky turnovers.

BringBackFergy
Buddy Hackett better tell EJ to chuck the !@#$in rock down field in the second half....no more !@#$in around.
TAinLack.
EJ needs to grow a pair and stop throwing all these 2 and 3 yard passes which is nothing different then he was doing before being injured ...and some of those throws are in the dirt! San Jose Bills Fan
3rd and 5 you throw a 2 yard pass? What is with this offense that they refuse to have patterns that go past the sticks? Lot of criticism of the playcalling but watching on TV, there's no way of knowing if the QB is not seeing the field. EJ stats are horrid. 6 for 13 for 43 yards. Stats are meaningless. The salient point is that EJ's played very poorly.
Roc Bronson
EJ and Hackett both ate too blame for this monstrosity. Oh Marrone also. This is very bad! I would not want to watch this team in a playoff game.
Fixxxer
EJ having zero feel in the game, he's stepping up on a clean pocket and he can't deliver the ball past 3 yards? I understand not trying to force things but at one time you need to trust your reads and arm.
ChicagoRic
The coaches have to know something about Manuel that keeps them from letting him pull the trigger. WIth Lewis and even Tuel, they took shots. With Manuel, no dice. Or is it Manuel missing out on his reads/not seeing the open WR?

mjt328
There is a difference between taking "smart" check-downs, and playing scared. The first is what made Tom Brady and Joe Montana all time greats. The second is why Trent Edwards sucked. And it's what we are starting to see from EJ. You absolutely HAVE to be willing to take shots downfield. If you don't, it kills your running game and makes it impossible to sustain drives. Nitro
The coaches might have told EJ to do the dink and dunk stuff. Looking at Roethlisberger, trust in the kids arm and let him sling the ball to open up the defense.
BRH
I just can't believe an NFL team can practice for a whole week and come out with that.

ChicagoRic
Actually, the more I think I about it, the problem is Manuel has NO confidence in himself or his receivers. WR's have to be WIDE open for him to even take a shot, and even then he has accuracy problems. Lewis and Tuel both had faith the the WRs could make plays in tight coverage and had the stones to deliver the ball. Manuel does not.

Acantha
Stats are meaningless. bull ****. Scoring is a stat. Completions and yards matter. They mean even more when you see how bad those incompletions were.

It's hard for me to believe that the playcalling/gameplan calls for 2-3 yard passes.

Either way, it's a really bad sign for our "franchise" QB.
