KikO M G Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 All I can think is, they beat the Steelers for their only win this season.
maddenboy Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 (edited) Near the end of 3Q, I suddenly thought: We should draft a QB with our first or second pick next year. I wanted EJ sooooo bad. But look what a little competition has done for Christian Ponder. You cannot do anything without a QB. If you have two, so be it. But zero is not an option. Let EJ and the new guy fight like hell. EJ had no real competition this year. Edited November 8, 2013 by maddenboy

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Ponder has no feel in the pocket. He takes off almost immediately every time. No idea why they don't go with cassel.
Fixxxer Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Ponder never stays in the pocket, he can't stay put and deliver the ball, he reminds me of Jake Plummer.
ganesh Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Why would the Refs call that a TD...That was a good 1/2yard away from the Pylon.
YoloinOhio Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Steelers lost to Vikings WITH Matt Cassell.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Steelers lost to Vikings WITH Matt Cassell. IMO, cassel is so much better than ponder and freeman, it's not even close.
YoloinOhio Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 IMO, cassel is so much better than ponder and freeman, it's not even close. That's kind of like saying that Thad Lewis is better than Matt Flynn and Jeff Tuel, but OK.
maddenboy Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 No. I'm talking about Ponder now, vs. Ponder a few weeks ago. Or last year. Tight spiral. Setting his feet to throw. Throwing precisely when his back foot hits on his drop (Thanks, Mayock). Making the right reads.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 How about their coach giving the Redskins two timeouts with under a minute to go. Brilliant!
Bills fan since 87 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 The Viking coach reminds me of Dick Jauron. Every time they show him he is stone faced and emotionless.
Dragonborn10 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 The Viking coach reminds me of Dick Jauron. Every time they show him he is stone faced and emotionless. So was Tom Landy, Bill Walsh, and Chuck Noll. Dennis Green yelled a lot. Herm Edwards is still yelling. Do you really think showing emotion on the sideline means anything? Preparation. Player devlopment. Scheme. Drafting. Those are the things that matter. Not getting into an officials face.
reddogblitz Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 How about their coach giving the Redskins two timeouts with under a minute to go. Brilliant! Seemed to work. Coach Frazier did get his team to playoffs last year. And he was nominated for a Grammy for his appearance in the Super Bowl Shuffle and a safety on the 85 Bears defense.
thewildrabbit Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 All I can think is, they beat the Steelers for their only win this season. And just beat the skins...
YoloinOhio Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 That was unexpected. Somewhat, but neither team is very good and one has AP.
Captain Hindsight Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Until Washington can protect Bob Griffin they will continue to be a bad football team. Griffin is going to get killed behind that line
Big C Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Until Washington can protect Bob Griffin they will continue to be a bad football team. Griffin is going to get killed behind that line RGIII looked like he was starting to make plays again last night, even under constant duress. They are losing because of defense. That being said, they will be even worse if RGIII goes down again and I was worried that was going to happen a few times last night.
FLFan Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 The Viking coach reminds me of Dick Jauron. Every time they show him he is stone faced and emotionless. He was a favorite to replace Jauron at one time. Not sure which would have been worse - him or Gailey.
