  • Delaware North wants to build corporate headquarters in Buffalo (and get tax breaks as well)
  • WNY government doesn't move fast enough
  • Delaware North provides copy of correspondence from other cities, which basically says "if you don't give us tax breaks, there's plenty of other cities out there who will".

Can we expect your corporate welfare attack on this today? Shouldn't Buffalo ask Delaware North to pay their "fair share"? Maybe even a bit extra since they can afford it?

You are so ignorant. When have I ever attacked corporations or corporate welfare?

Any subsidy they get means taxpayers share that burden. It's an F-ed up system that allows corps to play communities off each other at the expense of the taxpayers.

Aren't you confusing subsidy for tax break? Didn't the article spell out the advantages?

What is the economic impact of having Delaware North in Buffalo or elsewhere? There is an impact and there can be a return on the investment. I agree that communities get shaken down in order to attract and preserve businesses into their communities, but as long as we have state and local rights, there will be competition for businesses.

The only reason subsidies exist is places like Buffalo have tax rates so out of whack with reality and refuse to do anything about them.
