It might've made for an easier throw than the two yarders at the marker would've been If I recall, there were 9 guys within a yard of the LOS at the snap

By the way, I bet that wasn't the primary read. I think Tuel was under a lot if pressure on the play and went to where he had single coverage.

To the first, if memory serves he went way outside shoulder when the obvious location was inside once he had the step. Hell even if it ended up a pick it's essentially a punt.
