l< j Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Don't conflate the issues. I've not commented on that particular behavior. I simply pointed out that I think it's beyond absurd to pretend an NFL locker room is no different from a BoA office. Of course it's not. But I'm saying that to call RI out for being a bigot and treating those around him like &$^%, for targeting minorities and women through his &^$%#ty behavior. You're saying that my criticism doesn't hold because RI works in a locker room, not a bank office. I'm saying that is BS. A jackass is a jackass, a bigot is a bigot. The 'PC' label is a dodge and a reason to willfully look the other way while someone treats other people like dirt. kj

Simply clarifying that when I referred to "the office," it was in response to this different allegation from a staffer. I don't disagree with your last comment.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 If I had to guess, the report is going to say something like, "this was an issue between 2 people I doubt this. If it does, I at least will be thinking "cover up"
boyst Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 And...who remembers this story? The NFL sure doesn't want to remember it.
boyst Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 The length of the investigation is going to probably kill the legs on the story. By design and not by accident. It's just one of the many ways to manipulate situations, politicians do this all the time.

It also works when teams get caught cheating or when QBs find ways to isolate drunk chicks and have they way with them while a bodyguard keeps everyone else away. Mr. WEO Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 This is hazing: http://deadspin.com/part-of-david-beckhams-rookie-hazing-was-being-forced-t-1473617609. Poor Martin was called half a honkie and heard them say something mean about his sister. He will never play again.
26CornerBlitz Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 @RapSheet The #Dolphins have placed OT Jonathan Martin on Non-Football Injury list today, per source. Unclear yet if they’ll pay his salary.

They have a contract that stipulates they must pay him, and that's fair and the right thing to do. A contract is a contract.

Meatloaf Sandwich Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 (edited) The way it went down, that he is still physically able to play. Doc Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 (edited) He left the team, so technically they don't have to pay him. But for PR reasons, they will. Edited December 1, 2013 by Doc
Mr. WEO Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 PR reason? I think it's bit too late for that. They should just take their lumps (which are coming anyway) and not pay him. it sets a bad precedent. I would just release him.
