Tiberius
This time try answering the question. What will it fix? Jobs? That's the answer. Jobs increase human capital. People need to work or they atrophy and become lazy
Tiberius
So let me ask you. Where does all their money go? JuSt this once, can you answer your own question?
Chef Jim
JuSt this once, can you answer your own question? Why would I want to answer a question I'm asking you? Am I not allowed to ask questions here? So where does all the 1%ers money go?

TakeYouToTasker
I'm not sure, where do you think it goes? It gets invested, which is where it is the most productive.
Joe Miner
Jobs? That's the answer. Jobs increase human capital. People need to work or they atrophy and become lazy Tax on 1% = jobs? Quite an efficient job making system you pulled out of your ass there.
Tiberius
Tax on 1% = jobs? Quite an efficient job making system you pulled out of your ass there. Really? Do you know have many people already work for governments of all levels today or are dependent on government funding for private employment? Funny you say I pulled it out of my butt when I was just stating how things are. Reality has a Liberal bias It gets invested, which is where it is the most productive. But look at all the unemployment we have today, doesn't that prove that what is being done now doesn't work?

Chef Jim
I'm not sure, where do you think it goes? Nearly 50% of it goes to take care of dumbasses like you and the other 50% they stuff under their mattresses. So I guess you're right they should pay more in taxes so their mattresses are less lumpy and dumbasses like you will have more money to create jobs with. But look at all the unemployment we have today, doesn't that prove that what is being done now doesn't work? I will at least agree with you on this point. TPS
It gets invested, which is where it is the most productive. It's not productive if it goes into paper investment; all it does is raise asset prices. Don't confuse savings with investment. Chef: getting back to the original point, Gross argues to restore the cap gains tax and eliminate the carried interest loophole. Given the spending propensities, raising taxes on the top will not have a big impact on aggregate demand. As for getting the poor more income, one of the purposes of a progressive tax system. Ha ha ha, I knew, once pushed to actually answer a question yourself, you would fall apart and start the insults. That's weak! It's also wrong, 50% of a rich person's wealth does go to me or the government See here's the point where someone questions themselves in their reply to you by trying to determine if you are really that stupid or if you are a troll. Why? Because you don't agree or don't understand? I mean, what's your point? Is the rich dude that said he should be taxed more a troll? Is he saying that just to make an idiot like you angry? N I will at least agree with you on this point. Yes, so the Obama plan of just doing basically what Bush did is not going far enough, right? You're right I have no idea what the 1%ers do with their money. You got me gatorman. You are much smarter than me. I surrender to your intelligence. Yes, so the Obama plan of just doing basically what Bush did is not going far enough, right? Once again oh wise one, you are correct. The reason that corporations are sitting on piles of money is because the government is not doing enough. Where did you learn to be so astute on all matters? jjamie12
I read somewhere (and I don't have time to go research this) that taxing 'the 1%' at a 100% tax rate would be enough to run the government for 2 weeks. Does anyone here dispute that?

Does anyone here dispute that? That's not what the money is going to be for. I've been enlightened throught the incredibly insightful postings of gatorman and I now see the light. The extra money that will come in by levying higher taxes on the rich will be, let me see if I get this right, passed on to the paper hat brigade (not sure how, but they'll get it) who will in turn spend 95% of it on burgers and fries which will force the likes of McDonalds and Burger King to hire more paper hat people which will lower the unemployment rate. But then again if I read gatorman's super fantastic posts correctly if the paper hat people spend 95% of that money, that will just mysteriously appear in their pockets, it will go to McDonald's and Burger King who will just sit on it and not use it to hire more paper hat people because that's how, you know, evil corporations roll.......those bastards. I think instead of sending the money to the paper hat people, he wants the Govt to invest it into shovel ready jobs. That way instead of being on an evil corporation's payroll, they can live off of their government's superior job. Once everyone works for the government, unemployment will be a thing of the past. We'll just keep taxing the 1%ers to pay for these government jobs.

I don't doubt you are intelligent, I'm just asking you to show it in stead of just chickening out by asking question after pointless question and then getting all upset like a 2 year old when I actually and finally put a question to you. It makes it look like you don't know what you are talking about. That's not what the money is going to be for. OMG! You wrote something! Hey, no matter how you slice it, Consumers have to have money to spend or there will not be any jobs. And don't put words in my mouth, I never said corporations are evil, that's just you creating straw men
Chef Jim
To take an extreme example, tax top and hand the money out to every Tom, Dick and Harry on the street and they will spend the money. On a large enough scale it would increase consumer spending No he says we just hand it out to them based on this post above. And once again I think that's a brilliant idea. OMG! You wrote something! Hey, no matter how you slice it, Consumers have to have money to spend or there will not be any jobs. And don't put words in my mouth, I never said corporations are evil, that's just you creating straw men Did you really just post OMG? It makes it look like you don't know what you are talking about. The reason I asked you the question to begin with is because, as you mentioned, I don't know the answer. I'm really looking for you to let me know where the 1%ers spend their money so I can pass that on to all the 1%ers I work with because they keep asking me where it's all going.
