26CornerBlitz Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 (edited) Around the nation: Bills midterm grades: http://www.buffalobi...3b-a96891ec20d3 A summary of national reports at the halfway point of the 2013 season. CBS Sports, Pat Kirwan – Picks Manuel and Alonso as offensive and defensive rookies of the first-half Offensive Rookie of the Year: EJ Manuel, QB, Buffalo -- Manuel is injured right now but he has started 5 games and is due back soon. He has already led the Bills to wins over Carolina and Baltimore. If he gets back for seven games he could win this award, otherwise it could be Eddie Lacy. Defensive Rookie of the Year: Kiko Alonso, linebacker, Buffalo -- Alonso doesn't leave the field for any down and distance situations and already has 81 tackles, 1 sack, 4 interceptions, 4 passes defended and 1 forced fumble. 26CornerBlitz Posted November 6, 2013 Author Posted November 6, 2013 http://sportsillustr...on-grades-2013/ C Buffalo Bills (3-6) The Bills had grander visions than this, for sure. They also anticipated being able to get through a week without losing a quarterback to injury. First-year head coach Doug Marrone really deserves an incomplete until EJ Manuel ... or any QB ... can stay on the field.

tennesseeboy Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 C sounds like a good grade to me. It might have been higher except for the qb injuries, which we don't really control. Once Manuel is back, I suspect we might end up the year between B- and B.
reddogblitz Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 EJ is going to have to really light it up pass up Lacey for Rookie of the Year. The man's a beast. With Rodgers out, I'm sure they will feed him.
ganesh Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 EJ is going to have to really light it up pass up Lacey for Rookie of the Year. The man's a beast. With Rodgers out, I'm sure they will feed him. Which also means the opponents will stack up the box to stop the run, leaving him with very little space to run.
