Jim in Anchorage Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I don't even need to click on this. I assume it's Blue Sky from .....1995?....from some German (I think) TV show with Dickey Betts and Warren Haynes kicking ass on the solos? One of the best versions of Blue Sky I've ever heard. What do I win? You win the ability to open the video.
Chef Jim Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 You win the ability to open the video. And see that I was wrong. It was in Germany in 1991 not 1995.

Chef Jim Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 By the way what's that gruesome avatar you have? It looks like something from ogrish. It's a mashup of Chef from South Park. On the right is his death pic on the left is him brought back to life as Darth Chef.
Azalin Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I suggest you all listen, closely, to Fillmore East or some of the more recently released live recordings from SUNY Stoneybrook and reevaluate your contention that Duanne Allman was "just another non-original southern rock guitar player"... very well said. I was never a huge fan, but I always had tremendous respect for their ability as musicians as well as their creativity as a band. the fillmore east album alone is a testament to how good they were.

Also get Live from the Atlanta International Pop Festival. They opened and closed the event. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKR---n3ZYw
Helpmenow Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Love the band even in its current state. Mushrooms!
