Rodak's been poor at predicting Bills games this year:

Patriots 35, Bills 24

Panthers 21, Bills 17

Jets 17, Bills 14

Ravens 24, Bills 14

Bills 21, Browns 17

Bengals 24, Bills 9

Dolphins 24, Bills 21

He's 3-4 straight up, not to mention predicting a team that he's covering for the first time to go 1-7. I'm not arguing for naivete, but a bit of optimism for a team that's your sole beat is a good thing. No sense in making enemies out of fans in the first 8 weeks of the season.

Maybe it's a good thing he's picking the Saints in this one. He's been wrong 4 times before.

I cannot believe he is making these picks. If I was a reporter of any type I would not put the money on the table like that.

I have a hard time buying in to the stuff Rodrak sells. He seems to grasp for stories, but I do not hold it against him. ESPN has struggled to create original content in a fiercely growing field of sports reporting. More disappointing is that our own local media is even slower to break news or do little more then human interest pieces. It amazes me how misunderstood some of it is, though. That people hold Wawrow accountable for breaking stories is silly to me because that's not how his position works. Tim Graham, TBN, RD&C, Gaughan, WGR, etc could be breaking stories much quicker, and should be.

Oh that Mike Rodak is so hardcore! Can't wait to not click that link.

Personally, I was expecting him to break Strahan's sack record by now. Winning the game with a sack/fumble is not enough! :)

I hope I am wrong, but my gut tells me this is one of those games I need to read about monday morning, rather than live through.

I never understand this. The only way to fully enjoy winning is to fully experience losing. Not to mention, if the team is going to lose, I'd rather watch them get blown out than lose on a walk-off field goal.

Besides/...what exactly is going to happen to you if your team gets blown out? Is some fan of another team going to bust your chops? And how long before that person's team sucks eggs? When was the last time you had your chops busted by a Giants fan? Even a Pats* fan can't open their mouth without you bringing up Hernandez.

It's a game. A sport. A pasttime. And one thing I've learned in all these years of following a team...no other fan can bust your chops forever before the tables turn on their team.

Watch the game. Before you can't.

the spread is Bills +11 at Ceasers-Hilton

Bills are 5-2 against the spread this year.

I would take Bills +11 ALL DAY LONG. Thats is Big Easy money.

Agree with Widerightradio. Not because a Bills' writer should be biased, but because he should know this team better and in a deeper manner that goes beyond the national media's talking points. He picked the Bills to lose by 15 points at home to CIN even after they had been tied or ahead in the 4th quarter of the first 5 games and had scored over 20 points in all of them.

Those two streaks are still alive through 7 games BTW.

Sounds like catholic guilt. You need to confess your sins here and you will be freed to truly enjoy Sundays where the Bills have a losing record and are an 11 point dog.

hahaha. Very true. But it's similar to how you can pick on your little brother, but no one else can.

slight correction: we are going to find a way to win this one. If our D can confuse the Saints offense, I like our chances. We have to keep the ball out of the Saints hands, (run, short passes, etc), and then get the ball back quickly.

I don't know if pettine is going to confuse a team that's very smart offensively and practices against a Ryan defense daily. We need to beat them on the line. At its most basic the trenches are where this one will be won and lost.

I've been a Bills fan for more than 35 years, and unfortunately I did have something else to do, so I couldn't watch, but followed the game on my mobile app. I could care less what other people say, and I think you need to calm it down a bit. It is a sport, it is a pasttime, but after 13 years of some of the most gut wrenching losses, coupled with some seriously humiliating defeats, how could you not "understand this" ? you clearly missed my point, as I was describing how I felt this game would go, and predictably, it did. If you look at my entire post, I was quite accurate in the point I was trying to make, and we didn't have enough fire power to keep up with the saints, and the game got away from them. Saw it coming, predicted it, then it happened.

To your point, I don't only watch the games I think they can win, I watch as many as I can, and go to away games as often as possible, so true to your word you couldn't possibly understand in any way shape or form. What I posted was an expression, and was said figuratively. Lets not fly off the handle and go judging someone else's loyalty.
