3rdnlng Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Now isn't that cute. What about when the bullying is constant harassment and emotional damage? So you think authoring a bunch of idiotic and douche like posts here will cure you of that emotional damage?
Alaska Darin Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 So you think authoring a bunch of idiotic and douche like posts here will cure you of that emotional damage? You seriously ask him to think?
B-Man Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 As a reminder, its a parent throwing the bullying term around..............Here are the coaches.... Aledo Head Coach Tim Buchanan told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that he was upset by news of the bullying allegation, and says he spends “the whole third and fourth quarter” trying ”to think how I can keep us from scoring.” “In the first half, I’m excited about us scoring, then I’m sitting here going what the heck am I going to do?” Buchanan said. Western Hills High head coach John Naylor dismissed the bullying charge, saying he thought “the game was handled just fine.” Naylor was also complimentary of Buchanan and the Aledo program, calling the Bearcats “good sports” that “don’t talk at all.” He said his outmanned squad, which carried roughly thirty players on its roster the night of the thrashing, “just ran into a buzzsaw.”
4merper4mer Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 This is how we were taught. From the Andy Griffith Show Opie and the Bully. Opie is having to put up with a bully, Sheldon, who is demanding 5 cents from him every morning on his way to school. Sheldon says the alternative is a knuckle sandwich. As Opie keeps asking everyone for an extra nickel, including Barney, the Deputy decides to follow him top learn what is going on. Learning that Opie is being bullied, Andy tries to get him to understand that often, bullies are all talk and no action and that facing him, regardless of the outcome, is better than being scared all of the time. The result is a black eye for Opie but freedom from Sheldon. A bully named Sheldon?
Trump_is_Mentally_fit Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 You kick his !@#$ing ass you wuss. What if there are three of them and they are girls???
Just Jack Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 "I'm upset about it," Buchanan said. "I don't like it. I sit there the whole third and fourth quarter and try to think how I can keep us from scoring." There's the Steve Martin way, punt on first down.
Taro T Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 What if there are three of them and they are girls??? So, that's what happened to you growing up? It explains a lot.
Fan in San Diego Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Don't they have mercy rules to end the game when it's a beat down?
5 Wide Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 The only thing that I see wrong here is that Aledo never once went for 2. I also question their clock management skills.
Trump_is_Mentally_fit Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 So, that's what happened to you growing up? It explains a lot. Ah man, I wish you would post more. Your brand of stupidity is fun to kick around. But a drive by insult is all we get. What should I expect from you
Chef Jim Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 What if there are three of them and they are girls??? You tie one hand behind your back. And if they're hot you tie both hands behind you.
keepthefaith Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 You kick his !@#$ing ass you wuss. Yes and it's very effective.
DC Tom Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Now isn't that cute. What about when the bullying is constant harassment and emotional damage? It means you're a congenital idiot and probably shouldn't post here anymore, you git.
Dante Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Why would a parent ever want to shine a light on how crappy her sons team and by extension her son is? Shouldn't she just let it fade into memory?
ExiledInIllinois Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Can these guys (the ones that scored 91 points) play for the Bills? They are only a few years younger. Probably get hurt less too. Get 'er done Dougie!
DC Tom Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 There's the Steve Martin way, punt on first down. Kay Stephenson never had that problem...
boyst Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 What if there are three of them and they are girls??? Just leave the kitchen.
Bronc24 Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 You can't teach kids to not run, block or tackle in football because that's how they get hurt. Football isn't like basketball where you can milk the shot clock and stop the break. This "bully" allegation is a joke.

Regardless, the coach has to live up to his principles and if he's a good one, one of them is "play hard, and play fair". You cannot ask you players to back off. Put in your 2nd and 3rd stringers and insist they play the game the it should be played.

It comes down to respect. Are your kids trash talking and going out of their way to hurt someone? If so...there's an issue. However it appears the winning coaches did all the correct things. The losing coach concurred. Dead issue. I'd hate to be this kid.
