John from Riverside Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Lets not let go unoticed that this was also made possible by Hughes bulldozing his man back to the QB.....giving the Dolphins QB nowhere to go......keeping him in a prone position....allowing Mario to do this thing....... They made a QB sandwich right there....and Hughes to me has already shown his worth in that trade even though he doesnt have the sakes to show for it....the guy is a pretty darn good edge rusher

Storm Front Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Hughes has been great for the Bills. I was upset when we traded Shep for him, but the guy can definitely play.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 The very same point was made yesterday in the Mario thread: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/162887-mario-williams-deserves-props/page__st__80#entry2951287
John from Riverside Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 26...I didnt see that...thanks
The Big Cat Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 And let it not go unnoticed that Kyle Williams made the smart play of falling on the ball rather than trying to score with it. And let it not go unnoiticed that he would have scored with it...if he could. If he hadn't whiffed the first time round.
John from Riverside Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 I remember seeing Mario ribbing DT Williams about not picking it up and running into the end zone with it.....I was HAPPY he didnt try to do that when he didnt immediately get it into his hands on the hop....some smaller fins player would have dove in there and secured it....and we probably would have lost. Kyle did it correctly.
RuntheDamnBall Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 And let it not go unnoiticed that he would have scored with it...if he could. If he hadn't whiffed the first time round. You try picking up a ball with sausage fingers.
The Big Cat Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 You try picking up a ball with sausage fingers. You suppose he has a dialing wand?
Prickly Pete Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 You try picking up a ball with sausage fingers. And let it not go unnoticed that Kyle Williams made the smart play of falling on the ball rather than trying to score with it. Kyle Williams is a dork. I am glad he knows his limitations.
5 Wide Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Kyle Williams was trying to score on the play but the ball hopped funny as he was bending over so he just fell on the hand grenade.
DefenseWinzChampionshipz Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Kyle Williams was trying to score on the play but the ball hopped funny as he was bending over so he just fell on the hand grenade. Or the grenade fell on the ball...
26CornerBlitz Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 26...I didnt see that...thanks Sure thing, easy enough to miss it.

NoSaint Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Kyle Williams is a dork. I am glad he knows his limitations. That said, they say he's one of the best pure athletes on the team - the type that's great at every sport they pick up.
Prickly Pete Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 That said, they say he's one of the best pure athletes on the team - the type that's great at every sport they pick up. "They" say a lot of things like that. If that's true (cough) then he should have run it in.

Prickly Pete Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Hey, after the cordy Glenn debacle - I'm not saying the bar is high (he's the one that absolutely blew the recovery a few weeks ago right?) Haha. Yeah, I think so...I'm just glad KW was there to make the play. He did good.

Tu-Toned Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 It was very comical to me watching him first try to pick it up and run with it, and then realizing that he couldn't do that and plopping down on his butt with the ball! I think that he was almost going to get back up and take off running, but with his two upper stumps firmly securing the ball, there was absolutely no chance of him getting back up, he would have definitely needed a free hand for that. I am glad that I could laugh about it, because shortly before that, I was almost in tears, knowing that our season was all but over.
