CSBill Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 (edited) I said this last week, and I'm so mad this week I even took the time to learn his name. It's time to let Danny Crossman go. Last week a stupid decision cost us a game, and it almost happened again. The words, "Over Coaching" come to mind here, just kick it through the end zone make them have to earn every inch. I realize there is another thread that has an ancillary connection to this, but this issue is so huge it deserves it's own attention. Marrone, you've had the b@%#$ to dump your Punter, your starting Left Guard, now it's time to show your truly a leader and hold your coaching staff just as accountable. And if you won't do it, time for Whaley to step in and take charge. And by the way, would love to hear one of the team reporters ask about this. Edited October 20, 2013 by CSBill
BillnutinHouston Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I'm concerned about this play as well, but how do you know at this stage that it was called this way?
BillnutinHouston Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 OK, Marrone just clarified that that was not the call on the last kick. Bad thread.
Green Lightning Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 OK, Marrone just clarified that that was not the call on the last kick. Bad thread. Still p*ss poor coverage. I'm not a fan.
CSBill Posted October 20, 2013 Author Posted October 20, 2013 OK, Marrone just clarified that that was not the call on the last kick. Bad thread. regardless, still time to get rid of him . . . and I would bet Marrone is just covering for him
NoSaint Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 OK, Marrone just clarified that that was not the call on the last kick. Bad thread. Still a poor coach that many of us were upset with the hire of- and I don't think he's proven that wrong.
Saint Doug Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 OK, Marrone just clarified that that was not the call on the last kick. Bad thread. Miami nearly took it to the house. But thanks to our kicker, he was slowed and stopped. Still a bad thread, Danny?

I'm not arguing with getting rid of Crossman, but Carpenter has proven he does not have the leg to do this consistently. Buffalo is in the lower portion of the league for kickoff touchbacks. Don't you think he would be asked to do this every time if he could manage it?
DefenseWinzChampionshipz Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 regardless, still time to get rid of him . . . and I would bet Marrone is just covering for him Marrone said he doesn't lie though...
playman Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 there´s a history here with SPT coaches. right, wade?
Beerball Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 regardless, still time to get rid of him . . . and I would bet Marrone is just covering for him Carpenter covering for him too?
Max997 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 (edited) If it was a called kick Marrone either made the call or was aware of it bc that kind of call doesn't happen at the end of the game without the head coaches knowledge Edited October 20, 2013 by Max997
leper65 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Still a poor coach that many of us were upset with the hire of- and I don't think he's proven that wrong. +1
metzelaars_lives Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Carpenter had been kicking them all through the end zone. I'm assuming the call was to do it again and he just came up a little short. I would've been pissed if they did the squib kick and gave them the ball at the 30. What did you think Crossman should've called there?

He seemed to be doing it all game, up until that final kickoff.
