Buffalo Beeeews Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 I have Calvin Johnson for a WR. Would it be prudent to trade him for Wes Welker? Johnson's been hampered by injury, but when healthy is a straight up force! And Welkers...Welker. Suggestions? Quote
CountryCletus Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 I would attempt to package in Calvin for Welker, but throw in another player each to attempt to upgrade another position. Calvin is far better than Welker with skill set and the lions will have to throw a ton to win... Welker is off to a HOT start... If you needed a WR, I would trade straight up, but Denver may have things locked up early and sit or limit key players during the fantasy playoffs.... Just other to think about Quote
NDBUFFCUSEFAN Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Just a heads up there is a fantasy subforum, I know it doesn't get a lot of traffic but there are a few contributors and adding more will only make it better. As for your question it depends on your record and probability of making the playoffs with your current squad. If you are doing well and on track for the playoffs I would hold onto Megatron. Even if I was close to a playoff spot I wouldn't trade him away. He is too much of a game changer and on a pass happy team with a QB that will throw to him no matter who is covering him. Quote

If you are sitting near the top of your league, stay put with Calvin Johnson. If you in desparate need of winning some games, you may want to make that trade. As a previous poster suggested, however, I would definitely try to sweeten the pot a little bit. Denver has so many different weapons that Welker can get lost in the shuffle sometimes. When Megatron is healthy, however, he is always target #1. Quote
