Pete
Anyone use Briwax on old furniture? Are you a fan? I am rejuvinating an old pine dresser and wanted to go for a two toned look with the drawers light colored with Briwax or Puritan pine or natural stain, and a Jacobian or red Mahogony body. Thoughts as whether to go for stain or briwax for lighter portion
ExiledInIllinois
Yes... I have been using it for about 20 years now... Big project was an armoire. It will go on light... But all you do is rub it and you can go heavier each application. The armoire is an entertainment center... When I raised and added braces for shelf, etc... It blends right in, even years later... Knots, wormwood, whatever will end up darker. I think it is easier than stain... And you can rub it in anytime... Then buff. I have a "baker's rack" that was really nice but had a cheesy wood shelf... I took a piece of oak and Briwaxed it... Looks so much better!
