Bangarang Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 @caplannfl #Bills are going to release OL Colin Brown, source said. Marrone doesn't mess around.
boyst Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Why? What's the point? What is our better option? This is a stupid move.
Big C Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 He hinted in his presser that, at the very least, Legursky was going to take the starting job, but I think taking it one step further is a good move. Why? What's the point? What is our better option? This is a stupid move. Legursky did much better on Sunday, and I think there's reason to believe we can find something better than the absolute worst guard in the league.
Bangarang Posted October 15, 2013 Author Posted October 15, 2013 Why? What's the point? What is our better option? This is a stupid move. A refrigerator from Home Depot is a better option to have on the line than Colin Brown.
Sisyphean Bills Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Well, it's not like Legursky will miss any playing time.
Kirby Jackson Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 He has graded out as the worst OL in the league. No reason to keep him around.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Marrone doesn't mess around. Colin Brown is not an NFL caliber OL. I applaud the team for acknowledging this and moving on.
Wayne Cubed Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I think Legursky was going to start at LG all along but was injured.
Sisyphean Bills Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 He has graded out as the worst OL in the league. No reason to keep him around. Not even for a little schadenfreude?
Matt in KC Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I know I don't have the whole story, but based on what I do know, this is a mistake. I've never bought into the whole "addition by subtraction" line I hear so often. I can accept Legursky is better than Brown (though I was traveling and haven't seen most of the game yet). But, who is backing up Legursky who is better than Brown? Not having a backup, and risking playing someone even worse that Brown, is not something I can endorse.
HurlyBurly51 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Why? What's the point? What is our better option? This is a stupid move. The point is that Brown doesn't belong on an NFL roster. Legursky is the starter, and they picked up a backup guard last week. Bye-bye Colin.
Sisyphean Bills Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Since the Bills are in a total rebuild, they had to cut Colin Brown.
Captain Hindsight Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Any word on who we bring in? I assume it will be from the PS
l< j Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 A refrigerator from Home Depot is a better option to have on the line than Colin Brown. Until they invent a refrigerator with revolving doors, this is true. But, who is backing up Legursky who is better than Brown? Not having a backup, and risking playing someone even worse that Brown, is not something I can endorse. I agree with this. kj
BuffaloBill Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 This staff makes some really interesting moves after the fact. However, it calls into question their decisions to begin with. This one is kind of an "oh-well" but he was supposed to be "next man up" not next man out.
CJallDAY Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 They can literally sign anyone off a practice squad and they will be a better swing guard.. the only series Brown played sunday he gave up a 4 yrd loss on a 1st down run then a sack on 2nd. He's turrible and has been all yr
l< j Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 The depth chart at the team site shows 4 Gs: Brown Legursky Urbik and Antoine McClain.
