Nothing would have happened.

Remember when the league INVENTED A NEW RULE to protect Brady? What was that rule? A player not blocked or fouled into the QB is "specifically prohibited" from diving or lunging at the quarterback's legs. And the specific reason given for that "clarification"? "Because Tom Brady is special."

Sure. Nothing would have happened.

Remember when Nate Clements absolutely leveled Brady in a Dec 2001 game at the Ralph?

question - Why wasn't Brady hurt? Answer - Center of gravity. The difference here was while Brady was sliding Manuel got caught with his right leg extended and took an entire hit by a safety direct on his right leg. All Manuel needs to learn is that you slide feet first not head first.

Manuel has to get his legs in front of his body & get low.

Yeah. And that has nothing to do with anything being discussed.

Difference is SJ actually is a legit player in his sport. Kaleta makes me thing I can play in the NHL.

Exactly. The Sabres deserve the extra penalties for keeping a useless, dirty player on their team that only makes the game worse.

I don't think Stevie's singled out like you're suggesting, although it's human nature that refs will pull the flag out quicker for nonsense with his history. There's a lack of consistency everywhere in the NFL. The best way to stop it is to be a more profitable team for the league, like people here have suggested.

So wait, what you're saying is that the refs review the team profit margin before the game to determine how to penalize them?
