Solomon Grundy Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) Should they have taken Geno? Edited October 8, 2013 by Beerball Edited title for clarity
C.Biscuit97 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Where was this last week when he had 4 turnovers?
FluffHead Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 But he was texting on team visits....AND TWITTERING....TWITTERING!!!!
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 dude, did you see the comedy of errors by Geno Smith prior to the game? The Jets have a BF2 with Gino, that's butt fumble 2. He has a long ball pass that defenses are allowing. does that mean he's great, or does it mean that the defenses he plays have sucked on deep plays. I go with the latter
26CornerBlitz Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 The Falcons are making Geno look great tonight. 17-7 Jest
Kirby Jackson Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) Geno has a chance to be good. He may end up being like Romo/Eli/Cutler though, guys that make huge plays and lots of mistakes (in Romo's case huge mistakes). Your team will live and die with him and it will be a rollercoaster. Griff28 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Yes. While EJ may be the "high character guy", Geno is a much more natural passer. More instinctive and accurate. While time will certainly tell the story, I think that in the end, Smith will prove that he should have been the guy. And the beat goes on...

BuffaloBillsForever Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Smith definitely throws a more accurate ball down field. Smith also showing he is MUCH more durable. The Bills FO shold not be given the benefit of the doubt here...but still early how it plays out... Oh yea, head to head Geno Smith outplayed EJ too.
3rdand12 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Should they have taken Geno? you are really hanging out the window with this you know ?: )
FluffHead Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 The Bills like to out think themselves when it comes to the draft. When you're the only team who rates player A higher than player B, you're usually wrong

Geno can thank Justin Rogers for that to a large extent.
CardinalScotts Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 he's a rookie has his up and downs but their game plan is run it then when they do throw it air it out. Not too much reading defense etc, easy pass to throw run under it
Johnny Hammersticks Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Geno Smith is barely clinging to his starting job. The only things saving him are his defense, and playing against the Falcon's secondary. Has he shown more arm talent, in spurts, than EJ has shown us? Yes. Do I wish we had taken Geno over EJ? No. Have some patience. The turds will sink to the bottom sooner than later.
jahnyc Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Geno does throw a beautiful ball and can be very accurate, but something about the way he carries himself does not seem to fit with being a leader on the field. Not sure whether either or both of Geno and EJ will be top quality QBs in the league. Was not a great year to draft a QB in the early rounds.

I go with the latter With all due respect, lets wait at least an entire season before making fun of his comedy of errors. It's week 5 in his rookie season. He already beat us and the Jets are on their way to having a better record than the Bills..as usual. I'd rather have EJ and Marty Mornhinweg. This.
seq004 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 (edited) Right now Geno has the slight edge, but it's a subject that will be revisited. Edited October 8, 2013 by seq004
Captain Hindsight Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I'm still waiting to see how Geno responds to adversity. He looks good tonight though
