Their late push for Freeman shows they know it too. Whaley and Co. screwed the pooch with no viable backup. We won't win another game until EJ returns, whenever that may be. Lol it was Josh's decision had nothing to do with the Bills. TBH I doubt he really even considered to come here. biggerdaddynj Posted October 7, 2013 Share Posted October 7, 2013 (edited) Freeman signing with the Bills never made sense (as many indicated)--he wants to go somewhere he can start for more than a few games and we're committed to EJ so that was never happening. Not sure why anyone really thought it was more than a (crack) pipe dream. The Vikes have obviously given up on Ponder. Pat White it is (scary, huh?). FO hits on last year's draft but f'ed up big time by not getting a serviceable, experienced backup when Kolb was lost--tough lesson to learn! Most don't make it through a full sixteen games. It's not exactly like we had a viable backup on the bench in case EJ was hurt. Now we're paying the price for being unprepared. Big picture.... He was available for late pick, indeed.... But he was also due more than he is worth.... No team was winning to pay his contract....
