Brady and Company....... :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: Oh, patriots.....I hate you. 207911 That's pretty funny, CL. But someone I don't think your son will find it very funny. He is very enamored with the Patriots these days.
cåblelady Posted January 17, 2005 Author Posted January 17, 2005 That's pretty funny, CL. 208029 Did I ever tell you that I hate the patriots ?
IDBillzFan Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Did I ever tell you that I hate the patriots ? 208099 Me, too, sister. Hate 'em.
cåblelady Posted January 17, 2005 Author Posted January 17, 2005 Me, too, sister. Hate 'em. 208102 You're a good man.
IDBillzFan Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 You're a good man. 208108 Nice of you to say it. (Your son wants Tom and me to die, so let's keep this under the radar, okay? ) I will always hate the Fish most of all, but there'll be time to hate the Fish later. Right now, I hate the Pats. I respect them. I just fuggin' hate them.
DC Tom Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 I hate the patriots. Oh, yes I do....I hate the things they say.....and things they do. Brady and Company....... :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: Oh, patriots.....I hate you. 207911 I wrote a haiku during the game: I hate New England. I f---ing hate New England. I hate New England. As haiku goes, it's not bad...but it lacks the lyrical flow of your tribute...
cåblelady Posted January 17, 2005 Author Posted January 17, 2005 I wrote a haiku during the game: I hate New England. I f---ing hate New England. I hate New England. As haiku goes, it's not bad...but it lacks the lyrical flow of your tribute... 208123 Very nice, Tom.
DC Tom Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Very nice, Tom. 208128 What it lacks in fluidity of the prose it makes up for in honest, heartfelt emotion.
Dan Gross Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 I wrote a haiku during the game: I hate New England. I f---ing hate New England. I hate New England. As haiku goes, it's not bad...but it lacks the lyrical flow of your tribute... 208123 Well, actually, it's more of a senryu. It's lacking the key elements of haiku, outside of the number of syllables (in fact, these days, it's more acceptable to play with the lines/syllables of haiku in order to get the themes right...). Surprised you didn't know that... BTW, nice poem Harriet. Don't let PF in Indiana see it though.
VABills Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 My tribute to the Patriots involves mooning. 207915 I wouldn't do that. Brady may take it as an invitation.
T-Bone Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 My tribute goes like this New England Patriots 20 Indianpolis Colts 3....
Dan Gross Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 My tribute goes like this New England Patriots 20 Indianpolis Colts 3.... 208275 Don't even give the team enough credit to spell their name right...?
T-Bone Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Don't even give the team enough credit to spell their name right...? 208279 Who cares about losers, besides it is freaking 11:30 pm, what do you want good spelling or a post by T-Bone?
IDBillzFan Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Who cares about losers, besides it is freaking 11:30 pm, what do you want good spelling or a post by T-Bone? 208282 Given a choice between those two, I'd prefer PF in Indiana add another thoughtful post to his blog.
Dan Gross Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Who cares about losers, besides it is freaking 11:30 pm, what do you want good spelling or a post by T-Bone? 208282 Who said I cared about you? And, well, given the choice, as long as you promise you aren't capable of good spelling, I'll take the former.

But if I'd said "I wrote a senryu", people would be ignoring it and instead saying "What the hell is a senryu?"
