Bills Fan since '64 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Second time this season that Marrone the the challenge flag when there was no review to be had. What's up with that?
Wayne Cubed Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I think, and could be wrong, he was trying to challenge that Jordan Cameron had stepped out of bounds, which he had, before the interference happened. Which I'm not sure an ineligible player can be interfered with. But because any sort of judgment call, like pass interference, can't be reviewed, he lost the challenge. I'm just guessing at this though...

Someone pointed out in the game thread too that the call was illegal use of the hands, which can't be challenged Edited October 4, 2013 by stevewin
Wayne Cubed Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I thought the same thing. Someone pointed out in the game thread too that the call was illegal use of the hands, which can't be challenged I think he had a point to challenge that and the refs should have waved off the flag. But you can't challenge it, which makes no sense.
Storm Front Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I don't know why he didn't challenge the obvious fumble at the beginning of the game on the kickoff. It appeared that the Bills recovered the ball.
Cugalabanza Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) That was really stupid and kind of inexcusable. That one Marrone mistake was the difference between 3 points and 7 points on that Browns drive. Edited October 4, 2013 by Cugalabanza
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I thought the same thing. Someone pointed out in the game thread too that the call was illegal use of the hands, which can't be challenged I was the one who said that. I think a PI call there is challengeable because if he stepped out if bounds, then it matters. they called legal contact probably to avoid that issue. Shrewd call by the refs.
Not at the table Karlos Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I don't know why he didn't challenge the obvious fumble at the beginning of the game on the kickoff. It appeared that the Bills recovered the ball. You mean the one where the browns player came out of the pile with the ball?
Storm Front Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 The Bills had the ball initially. I didn't see who it was, but when he tried to get up, a Browns player took it out of his hands.
