BuffalOhio Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I could see a sprained MCL on that hit since it was from the front/outside aspect of the knee.
jo39416 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 That's the text I got about 20 minutes ago...I didn't suspect that bad Seems legit.
Kirby Jackson Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Gave me schedule leaks, told me Kolb was in town 2 days before anyone reported it...they definitely know...just a matter of if the MRI is better than they suspect
bobobonators Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) where are you guys getting this info? I haven't seen anything officially posted. FML if this is true. Meanwhile Hoyer tore his ACL. Poor guy. You root for guys like him. He, much like EJ, shoulda just slid appropriately. Hoyer kinda half-assed his slide and EJ didn't slide/go out of bounds at all. No wonder Marrone looked pale on the sidelines in the 4th quarter last night. We won't win another game with Tuel at QB. Edited October 4, 2013 by bobobonators
Fan in San Diego Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 When he was walking around after, and riding the bike, I could tell that he was more or less OK. Still, all he had to do was go out of bounds! He needs coaching on diving and the QB slide to avoid injury. If he dove out of bounds with his legs straight out behind him, he doesn't take the hit to the knee. He dove like he was sitting in a chair. Its all in the technique.
DC Bills Backer Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 This will be a completely lost season if this is true, and we are back right at square one to start next year. EJ needs game action to see what he has otherwise we can just keep the "rebuilding" going forever.
Wayne Cubed Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Here's the article at ESPN that says its MCL sprain: http://espn.go.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/2295/injuries-catching-up-with-bills
BuffalOhio Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Watching it again, I would guess MCL because that's the location that EJ immediately pressed his hand to, the MCL area. Brace it and shoot it with 'caine and get out there!
jo39416 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Here's the article at ESPN that says its MCL sprain: http://espn.go.com/b...g-up-with-bills That was written last night at 3am... Sounds more like typical ESPN reporting to me.

Wayne Cubed Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 That was written last night at 3am... Sounds more like typical ESPN reporting to me. Couple other reporters said MCL sprain as well.. but your right, I think everyone is just speculating at this point.
Kirby Jackson Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Obviously, they will be making a move at the QB position. I am not sure who but my guess is that it depends on the length of the injury. If it ends up being a shorter term thing I wouldn't think Freeman but I have no idea.
JPS Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 agree. If EJ finishes out the game we probably win. A whole bunch of 3 and outs by Tuel killed us in the 4th quarter. You can thank all the law suits for having EJ sitting out. The docs shut him down, not Marrone.
K-9 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 You can thank all the law suits for having EJ sitting out. The docs shut him down, not Marrone. I have no problem with that. GO BILLS!!!
mrags Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 You can thank all the law suits for having EJ sitting out. The docs shut him down, not Marrone. agree. But at the same time if rather not chance it either. I wouldn't put the future of my QBs knee in jeopardy in a almost meaningless Browns game.
8-8 Forever? Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) I'm liking this team for 2nd half of season with everyone back. Then we will know what we have. This roster is a triage ward. Are the Bills the most injury prone team in the league? or am I imagining things and in fact every team has 6 or 7 starters out or limited every single week?. Edited October 4, 2013 by 8and8Forever

I'm thinking unless a move is made at QB...the rest of the season will be a wash...Tuel has promise. But not in his first year. Edited October 4, 2013 by Jdragon2

Are the Bills the most injury prone team in the league? or am I imagining things and in fact every team has 6 or 7 starters out or limited every single week?. me too man. the only concern I really have (beyond EJ's health) is Hackett. He's still a question mark for me. I don't know how much of this playcalling is held back b/c of a rookie QB or if this is how it'll be going forward.
iinii Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 We might as well get T.O. to play QB if you think Freeman is a good idea.
5 Wide Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 The knee looked hyperextended on the play and the leg was waving in the breeze as he was going down. To me it looked pretty bad. I hope i'm wrong.
