If Hoyer has ANOTHER big game then this guy must be Brady 2.0. Came out of no where. I think our D stops their O. But the Bowns D will stop our running game and the only way we win is Manuel has a pretty big game throwing the ball. 250 yards, 2 td's 1 pic

I went back and looked at plays from the two wins. Most of his throws were lobs to a spot and Cameron/Gorden were going and getting it.

Safeties are going to have to take that away... Corners are going to have to play tight.

Their running game is less of a concern.

On the other side EJ should expect a very similar d to the jets game, stacked box, man outside, tough go on the ground.

He will need to be a lot better than Dalton and ponder, which must happen at some point anyway if he is taking the franchise anywhere.

What is it the Bills need to do to beat the Browns?

What is it you will need to see as a follow up to beating the former Browns?

Tonights key to victory is rushing yards and turnovers. Whoever wins both wins this game.

If we can bring consistent pressure and perform with the same momentum that we brought last week then I will believe this team is stepping up. On offense we need to see better scheming but it will boil down to an old school game - running and pounding it

rushing yards and winning the turnover trade are the swing variables in just about every NFL game. Everyone saying the Giants suck. From scrimmage they anything but suck. but they have 16 turnovers in 4 games. that is the single reason they are 0 -4 . The NFL is all about turnovers and short fields on offense.

i'll be "that guy" too.

Really, that's what the nfl is all about? Thanks for the clarification.

We have limited offensive options for our rookie QB, and a terrible, terrible, secondary. The Browns, by contrast seem re-envigorated. They're putting up points, and getting key stops when they need them. Being at home with momentum on their side may be too big a hill for us to climb. I absolutely HATE to say this, but it's the type of game where we over-use what's been working for us (Fred Jackson) and get them hurt.

I'm enjoying watching EJ get better, but he has MAJOR ball-security issues. The Browns know this too, and they WILL be coming after that ball. Fumbles, strip-aways, and INT's could be the order of the day.

Also impeding progress is Nat Hackett's primitive offensive concepts. The man has no feel for the pro game whatsoever. -None.

We're winning on pure talent, which we haven't got much of. (Also Hackett's fault)

You say EJ is a liabiity with ball security and then go on to criticize Hackett for a primitive offensive scheme. You don't think these two things go hand and hand? Until EJ shows the ability to run a more complex offense, make good decisions and not turn the ball over we're going to continue to see a simplified version of the offense.

As to the OP's question.

I don't see the Bills being able to run the ball at all tonight and I don't think they'll have much success passing either. It's going to be ugly and we have to hope the Bills D can make it just as ugly for the Browns' O. The team who either gets a TD out of their D /ST and/or gets one or two big plays from their O will end up winning. I'm not even sure the Bills winning the turnover battle in and of itself is enough given their struggles with their red zone offense.

Two TDs and a FG will be enough to win this game, let's see which team can manage it.

So, let me get this straight. We're winning on pure talent that we don't have much of?

Inject Jordan Cameron and Josh Gordon with flesh eating bacteria

Takes too long.

Hoyer has been throwing quick short passes mostly. 6.9 or something avg.

press the deep potential. with one safety on top

S Maybe play the short field early and physicaly injure the crossing routes. Keep the game in front of them and disrupt Hoyer. Defense could win this game for us. Same could be said for the Browns though

MDH , the NFL is all ..about.. the NFL. Thats what the NFL is about.

and hot dogs and beers
