DougTheBug Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 Spiller isn't injured about twice as often as Fred Jackson. difference is, fred jackson gets yards. spiller dances around and goes backwards. jackson needs to be the starter simple as that
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 If the Bills stop short by benching Spiller, there's a chance the coaching staff might get desperate and put him in again. I say they execute him.
DougTheBug Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 I love how everyone here thinks spiller is some sort've rushing god. currently, if spiller was to rush for what he is averaging right now. he wouldn't even get 1000 yards. The guy is sucking, simple as that.
K-9 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 when is he not injured? Umm, most of his career? GO BILLS!!!
Fan in Chicago Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 When will these types of posts end ? Bench Spiller, trade Spiller, someone actually happy he is hurt ? Come on, guys ! CJ is a big play maker and gets yards in chunks. Sometimes the matchups prevent him from getting into his game. He still got decent yardage last week. Also, the big advantage we have is that Jackson has a different running style. If one style does not work against a particular team, use the other. This is a good thing - an advantage that few other teams have. We should actually be happy for this variety in our offense, not looking to run one out of town.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 It's obvious this guy has happy feet 2.0. The poor play selection is also hurting him. He seems very 1 dimensional. I'd rather see Fred Jackson and Tashard Choice start tomorrows game. I would redevelop the gameplan for spiller and let him rest up as he is becoming almost useless. Also why hasn't marcus easley in rotation as WR? stevie Johnson has become a decoy on the offense with most of the work being done by robert woods and scott chandler. They need to get more people involved. Thoughts? Who are you, and where did you learn about football?
Nitro Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Keep running him. The O line did a good job last week. If they can sustain their blocks, the RBs can succeed. Spiller has big play ability.
Offside Number 76 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 If the Bills stop short by benching Spiller, there's a chance the coaching staff might get desperate and put him in again. I say they execute him. This man does have a point. Tuel should execute him.
A Dog Named Kelso Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 He is just winded at times that is why his numbers are low On a serious note ... do we know the percentage of throws to RBs this year. I imagine its low since we are not running screens.

It doesn't help our QB can't throw with any consistency.... Put CJ on the Broncos, he runs for 3000k yards.... Once EJ learns the game, CJ is back....
GDOSyr Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Please no...our one two punch with fred and cj last week was a thing of beauty.
....lybob Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I'd bench Spiller not because I'm down on him but because smaller RBs need to have their legs 100% healthy to be effective - a 230lbs north south power runner could get away with being a little more banged up
thewildrabbit Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Some Bills fans amaze me with their thinking.... So, the feature back that the Bills OC stated before the season started would get the ball until he threw up is being keyed on by opposing teams by stacking the box to stop him. Now because two teams were pretty successful in shutting down Spiller the Bills should bench arguably their best offensive player? What about # one WR Stevie Johnson with one catch for -1 yard last game. Should the Bills bench him also? Could it be that teams might be thinking if we stop the feature back it will force the rookie to throw and make that team one dimensional. Their thinking, thus putting our team in a better position for the defense to pin their ears back and disrupt that rookie QB. Maybe he throws a bunch of INT's, or we get a ton of sacks. Never mind the fact that the guy who replaced the best O lineman from last year is stinking it up big time. How bad is he? LG Colin Brown through the first three games has a (-26.0) grade for the year, worst on the team. CB Justin "toast" Rodgers allowed 75% of the Jets passing game and two TD's and Colin Brown was worse!! yea, that's right, a negative 26.0 This last game against the Ravens he still stunk it up, only not so bad with only a (-1.7) grade. The Bills have nobody on their roster to replace Brown so they can't bench him, so he stays and hopefully starts playing better. Also, this last game the Bills OC finally decided to build a dedicated running attack and had multiple TE's in to block along with a fullback. It worked as the Bills had over 200 yards rushing against that Ravens defense. Still, the Bills went with Spiller five times when one or two yards needed and failed to get those first downs. They should just bench him, right? Hrmmm, what to do...what to do?
Punch Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 difference is, fred jackson gets yards. spiller dances around and goes backwards. jackson needs to be the starter simple as that You're right, Spiller has never gotten yards. But which is it--- Spiller is always injured or Fred is injured twice as often but it doesn't matter?
TSOL Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 C'mon on now dougbug. No huffin spraypaint and posting on tsw anymore,ok
fan_in_tx Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 But Flutie is just a winner. He is way better than Johnson. oops sorry wrong thread.
NewEra Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 TSW during the offseason >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> TSW during the season.
DougTheBug Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 (edited) Lets compare stats so I can end this conversation with a GG Fred Jackson Stats: 48 Rushing Attempts for 256 Yards Rushing = 5.3 yards a carry. Also has 113 Yards Receiving CJ Spiller Stats: 66 Rushing Attempts for 230 Yards Rushing = 3.5 yards a carry. Also has 29 Yards Receiving Edited October 3, 2013 by DougTheBug

But he and EJ are not in sync and he drops at least one catchable ball a game.
DougTheBug Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 clearly spiller has been under performing. Fred Jackson needs to start, while spiller regains his confidence.
