Mike in Horseheads Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 (edited) I need to clear my conscious, I really thought the Bills were missing the boat on this guy. Thankfully that's why I'm a Sunday GM. http://espn.go.com/n...-now-3rd-string Edited October 3, 2013 by Mike in Horseheads
Johnny Hammersticks Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I doubt any QB would have much success behind that putrid offensive line. Not to mention the lack of weapons on offense. Terrell Pryor, or any other QB who can scramble for his life on every play, are the only ones who stand a chance.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I need to clear my conscious, I really thought the Bills were missing the boat on this guy. Thankfully that's why I'm a Sunday GM. http://espn.go.com/n...-now-3rd-string 'S okay, my son, you are forgiven. Many have suffered a case of the "Oooo, Shiny!"s where 1-game Wonders are concerned. Some of them have been Sunday GMs. And few have acknowledged this.
filthymcnasty08 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Can we please have a quick calculation of the total $ figure this young man has made for being a 1 game wonder? I am sure it's breathtaking. What a country.
Captain Hindsight Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 He made 8 mil last year and 6.5 million this year. All for beating up on detroits horrible secondary
Offside Number 76 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Can we please have a quick calculation of the total $ figure this young man has made for being a 1 game wonder? I am sure it's breathtaking. What a country. Rob Johnson.
bbb Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I guess he was really horrible vs. Skins...............Looks like that ballsy move by the Seahawks of picking Wilson over Flynn was more like a no brainer.
ganesh Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Can we please have a quick calculation of the total $ figure this young man has made for being a 1 game wonder? I am sure it's breathtaking. What a country. Here is data from an article in SI: Kevin Kolb made approximately $14.4 million from the Eagles, $30 million from the Cardinals and will make $2.65 million from the Bills for total earnings of over $47 million. Flynn will make $14.5 million in two years: (10M Guaranteed with Seattle and 4.5M with Oakland). http://mmqb.si.com/2013/09/12/kevin-kolb-matt-flynn/

dezertbill Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I'm thinking we should bench Spiller and see if Flynn can be our #1 tailback in the read option.... Oops! Sorry! Wrong thread! Continue on....

Stealth Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Sometimes teams make mistakes when it comes to qb's as Bills fans we should be well aware of this. For every Drew Brees, Andrew Luck. There's always a Matt Flynn and Blaine Gabbert **** happens

I watched one of their preseason games where he was sacked multiple times in the first half he played. Their OL is bad, but it wasn't all them... he had some serious RobJohnsonitis. He looked lost...

C.Biscuit97 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Respect to the OP for owning up but there were a bunch of folks here who wanted to trade a pick for FLynn (Ryan Mallett gets a similar buzz). Flynn was a 7th round pick after basically being Trent Dilfer for LSU. He hasn't won a starting job since high school. The myth of Flynn was insane. It could be argued that he was a bigger myth than Aaron Maybin. That said, good for him for making millions for doing nothing.
prissythecat Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Am sure a lot of people wish they could make millions for doing Here is data from an article in SI: Flynn will make $14.5 million in two years: (10M Guaranteed with Seattle and 4.5M with Oakland). http://mmqb.si.com/2013/09/12/kevin-kolb-matt-flynn/ Wow. Amazing how much you can make by playing one very good game on a stacked offensive team against a putrid secondary.
