Dante Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 I thought there was a rule about fumbling forward. Ever since that Casper td fumble deal years ago I didnt think you could advance the ball that way. Just wondering.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 I believe the one to which you are referring only applies to 4th down, i.e. if a player fumbles on 4th down, HE must be the one to recover it.
Fezmid Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 It's only in the last 2 minutes (5 minutes?) of the half/game. I don't remember if 4th down factors in at all, but I don't think so. CW
GG Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 Two separate rules. One is the fourth down rule, the other is the two minute warning rule. In both cases, only the fumbling player may advance the fumble.
